Tena Desae faints during shoot

While shooting on the high seas, a sick Tena Desae blacked out

Sometimes it is best to take the bull by its horns. Tena Desae did the same but flunked miserably. The actress who has seasickness was required to shoot in the middle of an ocean in Fiji. She did manage to give a few shots but ultimately passed out.

A source from the sets says, Tena and her co-star Rajeev Khandelwal had a sequence on a boat. Unfortunately the water was very choppy that day. And not a lot of people knew of Tena's discomfort. About 20 minutes into her scenes, Tena started throwing up. The crewmembers were far out into the sea. Finally, after much gagging and feeling giddy, she blacked out.
The unit took her back to the shore where she was given first aid, adds the source. Tena says, It was the first shot of the day and I was doing absolutely fine. But half an hour into the shoot, the seasickness hit me hard. I had to ignore all of that and carry on with my work.

Has Ranbir turned into a party animal?

After a night of revelry, Ranbir Kapoor turned up late at a cancer awareness event on Christmas morning bearing telltale signs

While most Bollywood stars try their very best to look picture perfect at every public outing, looks like Ranbir Kapoor can't care less. Or why else would he turn up at an event on Christmas day, to spend time with cancer-affected kids, looking like he had arrived straight from bed?

Our sources say that RK not only turned up looking sleep-deprived at the cancer hospital in town, he also seemed unkempt in his very modest track pants and ganji. He arrived much later than the scheduled time and industry insiders say that a high-profile bash the previous night could be blamed for Ranbir's sloppiness.

A source from the event says, Everyone including the kids who have been suffering from cancer waited with bated breath for the actor to arrive at 9.30 am. However, by the time Ranbir walked in it was already past 11 am. He was dressed in track pants, ganji and a jacket and looked totally out of place.

The actor, who is otherwise known to be quite jaunty, apparently hardly exchanged words with the media and the assembled kids. For Ranbir, the morning would have been a far cry from the previous night of revelry at industrialist Sunny and Anu Dewan's glitzy party in Bandra.

The source adds, Ranbir had come to the bash around 2.15 am and after some pretty serious partying he left at 5 am the following morning. Onlookers say RK seemed to be in very high spirits as he exited the event. Could he have forgotten about his next day's engagement altogether?
The actor not only kept the kids waiting at the event, other dignitaries like the Commissioner of Police of Mumbai, Satyapal Singh, and Commissioner of Police of Thane, K P Raghuvanshi also had to stay back for the latecomer. Ranbir's publicist however jumps to the actor's defence, stating, Ranbir was given the time of 10.30 am to attend the event and he was barely 30 minutes late, as he was stuck in the traffic.

Have Kareena and Priyanka called a truce?

With Kareena and Priyanka seemingly bonding with each other at Imran Khan's recent party, could their long-lived acrimony have come to an end?

Most Bollywood heroines over the ages have stayed true to the adage that two actresses of the same league can never be friends. However, looks like Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra could prove it as a thing of the past. If rumours are to be believed, the two ladies could well be on their way to call for truce. But questions is, ultimately will they or won't they?

Both PC and Bebo have often engaged in a war of words, whether be it in front of the media and even telly chat shows. They have been at loggerheads about not just their professional lives but also their personal lives. The two have apparently even shared boyfriends (read Shahid Kapoor).
However, a source present at Imran Khan's recent housewarming party, where both Kareena and Priyanka were invited, states that the two apparently shared a very warm conversation on the floor.

The source says, Everyone present in the room was surprised to see Kareena and Priyanka talking non-stop with each other. They were in each other's company for more than an hour and had even taken a corner of the house to themselves.

They kept on giggling and laughing throughout. Apparently, there was no other person who was part of their conversation. They just came face to face and started talking,` adds the source. What remains to be seen is if their newfound friendship will carry over to the next year as well. Let's wait and watch.
Past imperfect
Kareena and Priyanka have not exactly been the best of friends for a long time. A sneak-peek into their colourful history together...

2007: The two worked in Aitraaz together, post which they heaped praises on each other at every media interaction possible.

December 2007: Kareena took a dig at Priyanka by stating that she did not consider any of her contemporaries to be 'actresses' except Rani Mukerji. Priyanka issued a dignified response saying, "Bebo is a more senior and hopefully more mature actress than me. December 2010: Kareena, once again, ridiculed Priyanka on Koffee With Karan for her accent, prompting PC to comment on Bebo's then-beau, now hubby Saif Ali Khan's accent as well.
January 2011: There were some signs of a patch-up during an event for the Mumbai police. During her performance, Priyanka roped in Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena on the stage to jive along with her.

September 2012: Even during the promotions of Kareena's Heroine, the two actresses made sarcastic comments about the fates of the other's films at the box office and award events.

Revamp women's rights: Priyanka

Sharing the nation's outrage over the gang-rape case in Delhi, actress Priyanka Chopra favoured a re-look into women's rights in the country while rejecting criticism that Bollywood only pays lip service to such causes

'What happened is a heinous crime. I call for stringent punishment for the accused, but I also want the protests to be peaceful. The youth has come together for the first time. I want a re-look at women's rights in this country,' she said.

'We live in a male-dominated society, but the attitude towards girls should change. They should be valued as much as boys,' Priyanka added. The 30-year-old actress said that it is not fair to take aim at film personalities for championing causes in spirit only.

She feels Bollywood stars are equally committed to the causes even though they are not often present in the heart of things. 'Why is Bollywood targeted always for not being there? We have our work commitments due to which we might not be at the venue of protests, but that doesn't mean we are not committed to the issue.

We have also been debating about it. 'I don't understand why Bollywood is questioned just because it is famous,' said Priyanka, who was in the Capital today to launch UNICEF's dare to care campaign alongwith cricketer Irfan Pathan. Pathan, who was representing IPL team Delhi Daredevils at the event, said, 'My sympathy goes to the victim and I hope and pray she overcomes this battle.

This incident is an inhuman act and a real shame. It's gruesome and I would like to see that such incidents never happen again, ever.' Talking about the demand for capital punishment for the accused, he added, 'Strict punishment should be meted out to them. The government should ensure that swift justice is meted out to the culprits.'
The UNICEF campaign launch coincided with the nationwide rage against the incident that has rocked the Capital. 'It is a coincidence that this campaign is being launched at this time. The dare to care campaign is for adolescent girls who drop out of schools and do not complete their education,' said Priyanka.

Catch, A spanking new Brand SRK!

Shah Rukh Khan seems to be setting his house in order for 2013

It appears that Shah Rukh Khan is keen to rebuild Brand SRK in the New Year. The turn of the year seems to be heralding a spanking new image for King Khan. The star apparently wants to let bygones be bygones and usher 2013 on a new footing.

There were indications that the scenario was changing for quite a while. And now the picture is getting clearer.

New Publicist
For starters, SRK has acquired a new publicist who has been filling our in-boxes with updates about the star from his trip to the Marrakech film festival to his reaping accolades at a recent film awards show. There are snapshots along with a brief of what he has been up to. This definitely came as a surprise but it looks like there is a need to streamline and provide info about him.

Moving Camps
B-Town has this penchant to work in camps. But SRK broke the rules when he agreed to work with Katrina Kaif, the ex-girlfriend of his nemesis Salman Khan. His decision to act in director Rohit Shetty's film a name synonymous with Ajay Devgn another bete noire of SRK, too proves that professionally his brand wants to work with the big names in the industry.

Moving On
Karan Johar, of late, has been bonding with the other Khan big time. With whispers about SRK and his best buddy KJo's bonding not exactly being the way it was, King Khan seems to be forging new bonds.
The year that was 2012 began on a sticky situation when he had an alleged altercation with director Shirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt's bash for Agneepath in January-end. In May came his infamous squabble with the security officials at the Wankhede Stadium. Then there was also buzz about his extra close bonding with Priyanka Chopra.

Movie Review: Dabangg 2 will make your Christmas Holiday merrier

Cast: Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Arbaaz Khan, Mahie Gill, Vinod Khanna.

Directed By: Arbaaz Khan.

Ratings: * * * 1/2

The wait is finally over. Salman Khan is back in full form once again with his 'Chulbul Pandey' avatar. But this time, He brings in more Power, More Punches and More Entertainment. The crowd is ready to Whistle, Scream and Go Ga-Ga for Salman Khan's star-power.

The film tells the story of Chulbul Pandey who moves to Kanpur. The moment Chulbul reaches Kanpur, He gets into tough-conflict with Baccha Bhaiyya (Prakash Raj). Baccha Bhaiyya is a criminal and a politician too. Bachcha Bhaiyya is scary. He has two brother's named Chunni (Nikitin Dheer) and Gainda (Deepak Dobriyal).
Things take a turn for worse when Chulbul Pandey kills Gainda. A volcano erupts and a Battle takes place. A Battle between Chulbul Pandey and Bachcha Bhaiyya.

Prepare yourself for this year's most deadliest combination of Salman Khan and Prakash Raj. The towering performance with some fireworks in 'Dialogues'. It's a treat to watch both Salman Khan and Prakash Raj together once again after Wanted. Salman Khan as usual is the best. He takes off his shirt, Flexes his muscles, Fights the Villian and Flirts with Sonakshi, Welcome to the Salman Khan world with a 'Bang'.

Sonakshi Sinha is charming and spicy as Rajjo. Arbaaz Khan and Mahie Gill's track irritates you a little, But as i mentioned earlier, You forgive and forget every mistake once you are in the auditorium to watch a Salman Khan film.
Arbaaz Khan as a director knows his job well. He execute every scene keeping in mind the 'Stardom' of brother Salman Khan. He tries his level best to give you a sure-shot entertainer in his very first film as a Director.

The songs in the film are already a rage with 'Fevicol Se' becoming an all-time chartbuster. Kareena Kapoor performs good in the song. Bhaiyyaji Seeti is another craze. The camerawork of the film adds feather in a cap. The editing could have been more slicker by chopping off some 'Unwanted' scenes in a 2+ hour film.
Go watch Dabangg 2 keeping the fact in mind that it's a Salman Khan movie and make your Christmas Holiday merrier.
