Vidya Balan turns a shade grey!

After having played the good homely roles, and having attempted a not very glam look.

The classic beauty Vidya Balan has joined the list of talent that wills to be cast into newer, challenging roles.

For which, this time she dons the previously unexplored, in her short but successful spell at Box office, bad girl role.

Scheming, cursing, turning vile... even playing filthy games of love, Balan is all set to out do her previously set positive protagonist image in the industry.

Her upcoming film with Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah, titled Ishqiya, is a third of daringly rustic ventures from Vishal Bhardwaj, after the success of Omkara and more recently Kaminey.

The two male actors play parallel lead, as uncle and nephew, both romantically involved with the same girl, a dusky village damsel played by Vidya, who is two timing for motives greater than plain lust. If Madhvan and Balan's liplock in Guru had been unexpected, the people behind the scenes of Ishqiya claim the movie will be a Pandora's box of bold words and actions.

The movie is due to release by the end of this year. Vidya, having grown from the Tellyood fame that 'Hum Paanch' brought her, Vidya has come a long way in terms of her roles. With this new shade of grey, here's adding another feather!
