“I think I understand cosmetics and make-up very well. I’m known for my make-up and it is something I have been always interested in.
So, naturally my transition into the cosmetics industry is only a matter of time now. I have plans in place and I’m waiting for the right moment to take the plunge. I believe that like my other business ventures, this too will be successful as it is quite up my alley,” Bipasha reveals to DNA.
Ask her what new innovation she will bring to the table and the kind of cosmetics range she will have (as we wondered if it will only focus on dusky women since it’s Bips’ complexion), and she shoots, “It will be for all complexions but yes Asian girls will definitely be my priority. I want to make my brand international too but not before I establish it in India.
But yes, I know all about how to do make-up fordusky skin. My speciality iseye make-up as I have had Asian girls run up to me to ask for make-up tips when I was in London. They loved the kind of make-up I do and I think it’s one of my plus points,” she says. Bipasha, who is currently awaiting the release of her sensitive movie on Kashmir directed by Rahul Dholakia, says despite stones hurled at her in Kashmir when the shooting was taking place, she does not fear for her life.
“I had thought that I could not get out of Kashmir that day and that we all would get killed. The mob was angry but I think things have settled down now. I do not fear for my life because we have made an honest film and as soon as people see the film, people will understand the intention. It’s sad that we did have to cancel the Kashmir premiere due to the curfew and the tension in the valley.”
The actor is also longing for acclaimed director Rituporno Ghosh’s long delayed film Draupadi to kick off. “It’s one project that I can’t wait to work in. I’m fascinated by her character. It’s a film about power and emotions in a historical setting. It’s just dealing with the human side. I love Draupadi and the things she went through in her life are monumental. It will be great to play her,” she ends.
