Trust Sajid Khan to come up with fun wacky ways to entertain the multitudes of movie lovers out there...we hear that after the amazing response which the 1st song 'Naino Mein Sapna' got from the audiences, the next song from his upcoming 80's retro fiesta 'Himmatwala' is interestingly titled `Bum Pe Laat` and what's more, it features little munchkins who are fans of superstar Ajay Devgn!

Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and music by Sajid Wajid, the entertaining song has around 50 children dancing with Ajay Devgn and lead actress Tamannaah. And some of these children are none other fans of Devgn who often come to visit the star on the sets!

Well, news is that a group of kids happened to visit Devgn while he was shooting for the song and while they were sweetly interacting with him, it struck Director Sajid to actually feature them in the track!!

A source close to the team said, `There was a different kind of spark when we saw Ajay interacting with those kids, and that's when we thought of asking the kids to dance with him in the song to bring out the same magic onscreen. And we are sure everyone would absolutely love it.`

Well, 'Bum Pe Laat' releases this weekend, so get all geared up to watch Ajay Devgn grooving with his junior fans in the song!!

Himmatwala' is directed by blockbuster director Sajid Khan, starring Superstar Ajay Devgn & Tamannaah.

Tamannaah is already a controversial hottie

One film old in Bollywood, and Mumbai-bred Hyderabad hottie Tamannaah is already acquiring quite a controversial reputation.

Even before she signed on to play Sridevi's role in Sajid Khan's remake of Himmatwala the actress got into a verbal scuffle with producer Salim who demanded her mound of money as per an agreement that he alleged to have signed with the actress regarding her earnings while launching her in Chand Sa Roshan Chehra.

In a conversation with this writer some time ago Tamannaah had dismissed all of producer's Salim's claims as a regular part of any successful individual's past baggage.
She would find it harder to explain her departure from producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sabir Khan's project Hero-panti, launching Jackie Shroff's son Tiger. A month ago she was `finalized` for the project.

Now she is no more a part of it. While publicly the entire team is quiet about it Tiger in all innocence did convey, I don't think any actress has been finalized yet. Not that I know of. I really have no clue. I am just busy with my own prep. I am not focused on anything else at the moment.

Some deeper probing revealed that Tamannaah was not found to be well-matched with Tiger.
Says a source, Though biologically Tiger and Tamannah are separated by only a few years in terms of career choronology she's a veteran compared with Tiger.

She has done 14-15 Telugu films. She was launched in Hindi films as a leading lady in 2005 when she claims she was 14. Her re-launch in Himmatwala is with Ajay Devgn who is twice Tiger's age. The Hero-panti team decided she would look ill-matched with the debutant hero.

Himmatwala: Amit Kumar sings new version of daddy's Naino Mien Sapna

Veteran singer Kishore Kumar's son Amit Kumar will be singing the song 'Naino Mein Sapna' in the remake version of 'Himmatwala'.

Director Sajid Khan got Amit to re-record the chart-buster track in the new version of the film. Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore had lent their voices for the original song which featured Jeetendra and Sridevi.

Singer Mika has also lend his voice for the song 'Taaki-Taaki' in the film. When contacted Sajid Khan, He said "We wanted to recreate the magic of 'Naino Mein Sapna' song.
The original was sung by a legend for the male version. We wanted someone who can do justice to the iconic song. Amit's voice is too good. I feel no one except Amit could have sung 'Naino Mein Sapna'. He has sung exactly like Kishore Kumarji,"

Shreya Ghoshal was chosen for the female voice. As Vashu Bhagnani and Sajid Khan both already had the rights to the song. The music has been given by Sajid-Wajid.

Meet the new Himmatwali

Tamannaah Bhatia who plays Sridevi's role in the new-age version Himmatwala is extremely keen to meet the original 'Himmatwali' before beginning shooting for Himmatwala in Hyderabad this week.

Unfortunately neither the new nor the original Himmatwala heroine could find the time to accommodate one another. While Tamannaah is in Hyderabad shooting for Puri Jagannath's new Telugu film where she straightaway joins the Himmatwala team, Sridevi is busy with the promotion of her comeback venture English Vinglish.

Disappointed but still hopeful of meeting her idol Tamannaah gushes, I grew up dancing to Sridevi Ta thaiya ta thaiya and Mere haathon mein nau nau churiyan hai in front of the mirror. I think every Indian girl idolizes Sridevi.

I'd spend hours learning and imitating her steps. And today, to be playing her role from Himmatwala...it's a dream come true!! I am still pinching myself in disbelief.
And yes, she is going to be wielding that famous whip in a leather outfit, a la Sridevi.

Giggles Tamannaah, I had never seen a whip, let alone hold one when in my hand, before we did the photo-shoot for Himmatwala.

I don't know whether I'd be able to wield that whip with as much grace as Sridevi. But I'll tell you one thing. I am not even going to try to be like her. It's impossible to be another Sridevi. She is inimitable. And we should leave it at that.

Hence the whip apart, Tamannaah would be doing Sri's role in her own way. The iconic song Ta thaiya would also be interpreted by the young actress in a different style.

Farah Khan is doing the steps. I don't know how much of the original steps would be retained. But I do know it would be inadvisable to imitate Sridevi. I've watched Himmatwala many times but I'm trying to put it all out of my head and interpret my role in a fresh role.
Tamannaah hopes to meet Sridevi in the coming weeks, when the junior actress visits her family in Mumbai.

It's not Tamannaah's first time

South actress Tamannaah Bhatia features in Sajid Khan's remake of a yesteryear film with Ajay Devgn.

But this is not the first time she features in a Bollywood project. She made her debut with Chand Sa Roshan Chehra opposite Samir Aftab.
The film was produced by Salim and got released in 2005 but sank without trace. She was just 16 years old then.

Nice to see a girl grow into a star! Hmmm....

Southern hotties taking over Bollywood? After Tamannah here comes Priya Anand

Barely had we digested the fact that the 22-year old Tamannah Bhatia would be making her Bollywood debut opposite 40-plus Ajay Devgn in the Vashu Bhagnani-produced Himmatwala when now news comes that another Tamil-Telugu actress Priya Anand has been cast opposite Vashu’s son Jackky in the Hindi remake of the 2009 Tamil hit Naadodigal.

A prominent Tamil –Telugu actress Priya was Rana Daggubati’s co-star in his debut film Leader. Since then she has been labeled lucky for her leading men.

Apparently Priya has been signed by Bhagnani for an exclusive 3-film deal on Rana Daggubati’s recommendation.

Says a source, “Immediately after she finishes shooting Priyadarshan’s film she goes into F.A.L.T.U 2 with Jackky which Sanjay Gadhvi will direct. After that she will do one more film with Jackky. ”

Let’s hope Priya gets a chance to work with other Bollywood heroes.

It's official: Tamannaah Bhatia is doing Sridevi's role in Sajid's Himmatwala

It`s official: Tamnnaah Bhatia is doing Sridevi`s role in Sajid`s Himmatwala
It’s official. And we got it out of Ajay Devgn’s business associate Kumar Mangat. After the unending speculation about who would be taking over Sridevi’s role in the remake of the 1983 hit Himmatwala, fuelled in no small measure by the neo-Himmatwala’s director Sajid Khan tightlipped silence, it is finally out

Telugu and Tamil actress Tamannaah Bhatia would be playing the lead opposite Ajay in Himmatwala.

Says Kumar Mangat, “Yes, it’s Tamannaah opposite Ajay in Himmatwala. The shooting starts in August. Ajay has Bol Bachchan on release and Son Of Sardar is almost complete. Himmatwala is the only other project he will start this year.”

Significantly names like Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma were bandied for the part of the whipwielding firebrand that catapulted Sridevi to stardom in Himmatwala in 1983.

Says a source close to the project, “Katrina and Anushka turned down the role. It was then that Ajay felt a Southern actress would fit the bill. He recalled to his director Sajid Khan and producer Vashu Bhagnani how Sridevi too had emerged from Tamil-Telugu cinema for Himmatwala. Besides, Ajay has lately delivered a big hit with another Tamil-Telugu actress Kajal Aggarwal in Singham.”

We also hear that Tamannaah’s role in the new Himmatwala would part radically from the original.

Says the source, “Sridevi in tight-fitting trousers and leather jacket with a whip in hand wouldn’t work now. This firebrand opposite Ajay would a wield a gun. Nainon mein sapna from the original would be there. But it would be shot completely differently on Ajay and Tamannah.”

Initerestingly we are told Ajay sees sparks of Kajol in the way Tamannaah would be presented in Himmatwala.

There are some interesting similarities between Sridevi and Tamannaah. Both are Tamil-Telugu actress making a bid to bombard Bollywood. Sridevi made a failed attempt in Solva Sawan before hitting big-time with Himmatwala. Tamannaah too has a flop Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra to her discredit.

“Tamannaah has already started working on her body language for Himmatwala. Unlike Sri who couldn’t speak Hindi when she did Himmatwala and had her voice dubbed, Tamannah speaks fluent Hindi. She’s a Sindhi gone South.”

Other Southern sirens on the way to Bollywood: Ileana d’Cruz in Barfi, Taapsee Pannu in Chashme Buddoor, Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Assi Nabbe Sau.
