Genelia D’Souza has been a victim of technology, apparently we hear that her cell-phone got locked recently and that left the cheery actress cut-off from the world and panic-stricken. Narrating the incident the horror of which could only be fathomed by cell phone users, the pretty lady tells that she was besieged by major crises.

But now things are falling in place.Genelia posted comment on a social networking site, “Phone got locked an all my data, contacts were deleted. It was quite a scary situation for today I can’t do without cell-phone but thankfully now situation under control.” Well, Genelia you couldn’t do Chance Pe Dance, for you found your phone and missed an opportunity to buy a new piece. Aishwarya looks best in a sari - Designer Neeta Lulla

Ace designer Neeta Lulla has been lending her creative touch to Aishwarya Rai’s wardrobe for more than a decade.

Having dressed the actress in varied costumes in movies like “Taal”, “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” and “Jodhaa Akbar”, the designer feels the sari suits the former beauty queen best.

“No doubt Aishwarya looks beautiful in Indian outfits, but, personally, I feel that she looks her best in a sari. She can carry a simple cotton to a designer sari with equal poise and elegance,” Lulla told IANS in an interview.

Lulla has been named for a National Award for best costume designer in “Jodhaa Akbar” - her third National Award.

She previously won the award in 1992 for “Lamhe” and in 2003 for “Devdas”. The Mumbai-based designer was here to give.

A sneak preview of yet-to-be opened entertainment destination, Kingdom of Dreams, which will play host to Bollywood musicals. Lulla will be designing the costumes for the stars performing there.

Lulla said she was more than happy to be a part of the project as it will give her a huge opportunity to explore her creative side.

“In Bollywood, you do sometimes face limitations. With this magnum opus concept, I can see myself putting my creativity at its best and exploring various new facets,” she said.

Her association with Kingdom of Dreams would require Lulla to spend more time here than her home in Mumbai, but the designer seems unperturbed and welcomes the change.

“This city is huge and sprawling…I like it for many reasons. So I don’t mind spending some time here. It’s just that I would be juggling between the two cities. But the concept behind this project is so intriguing that I couldn’t have said no,” said the soft-spoken Lulla.

Lulla has been a part of the industry for over two decades and has designed for over 350 movies. Expressing happiness over winning her third National Award, Lulla said these honours not only make her feel special but also inspire her to perform better.

“It’s always nice to receive appreciation for your work. I do feel special but at the same time each project that I take on gives me an opportunity to work and explore my creativity and this in the end helps in delivering a good product,” she said.

Lulla’s upcoming Bollywood project is Ashutosh Gowariker’s “Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey” that has Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. But she refused to divulge any details about the movie saying, “It’s too early to talk about it.”

Amrita Rao won't accept anything but a luxury car

Bollywood actress Amrita Rao threw a tantrum at the airport when she did not get a luxury car to pick her up and take her to the Ottera in Electronics City.

Where the Bangalore Fashion Week is being held. Finally, she took a hired cab instead of the Innova that was sent for her by the organisers.

According to a source, Amrita Rao was not too happy with travelling in the Innova that the show organisers, Dream Merchants, sent for her and was seen arriving at the hotel.

In Electronics City in an Easy Cab after spending two hours and 10 minutes on the road.

The driver of the cab, Byra Reddy said, "They first told me to drive to Electronics City and then half-way, it became Whitefield. Then back to Electronics City." The bill was Rs 1,257 for the trip.

Amrita was in the city to be designer Archana Kochhar's show-stopper for the Blender's Pride Bangalore Fashion Week. Kochhar and her team were present at the gate to receive Amrita.

The Oterra provides luxury cars such as Camrys and Corollas provided they are booked in advance.

While the rate for a Camry is Rs 4,500, for a Corolla it is Rs 3,309. An Innova's rate is Rs 3,000.

Kunal Chaurasia at the reception, said, "We were not asked to provide this service and the organisers looked into it themselves." Sajad Mahajan from Dream Merchants said he did not know how Amrita travelled. He said, "We sent her an Innova."

Then there is the Hindi version of the Hollywood flick ‘Step Mom’ which according to sources is turning out to be a real winner in terms of performances and emotional quotient.

The film also has Kajol in it. The next project is Shahrukh’s home production’Ra 1’ which again will be shot in the US.

There are rumours that Bebo also will be seen opposite Hrithik Roshan in the film ‘Agneepath’ which is a Karan Johar film. Whatever be the number of films Kareena may be doing she always will be the one to popularize the size zero concept in filmdom bollywood that’s for sure!
