Director Karan Johar is very much impressed at Katrina Kaif’s performance in Yash Raj Films’ recent hit New York . And he signs the actress to play the lead for his next Dostana 2. Sources inform, “Katrina has widened her experiences as an actress in a short span of time. On one hand she had a typical potboiler like Singh is King to her credit but then proved her critics wrong with a terrific performance like New York.”Source informs “Perhaps this is what that has impressed producer Karan Johar who has roped Katrina for Dostana 2. Karan initially had planned to to retain the same cast as Dostana. But Katrina’s performance in New York has left Karan highly impressed and after the survery where she was rated the sexiest Bollywood actress Karan confirmed his plans to have her on board.”
