From the perfect homemaker in 'Bade Acche Lagte Hain', Sakshi Tanwar to play a commercial sex worker in a film

After playing the traditional housewife on television for years, Sakshi Tanwar had an image transformation of sorts on her daily soap opposite Ram Kapoor.

But this time, looks like the actress is all set to go another step forward with sources saying she could be cast as a commercial sex worker in an upcoming film, helmed by Ankush Bhatt.

Producer Irshad Khan confirms, Yes, Sakshi will play the second lead in the movie. We will be signing her shortly.
The project is said to portray the brothels on Mumbai. For the lead role apparently Konkona Sen Sharma was approached. But with that not working out, the makers are looking out for another actress.

A couple of years back, Sakshi also shot for a film titled Mohalla Assi opposite Sunny Deol but the project got shelved.

No competition from Sakshi, Ram

Sameer Kochar has walked into "Bade Achche Lagte Hain", which already has popular actors Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar in lead roles, and says he feels no competition and is enjoying the attention he is getting.

"I am very secure in my space as an actor and happy with it. I am not here to compete with anyone. I am here to experiment with the new medium," Sameer told.

"The show has and will always belong to the characters of Priya and Ram Kapoor. But my character Rajat Kapur comes as an important character in the show. It will take the story forward, give it a new meaning," added the actor, who started his acting career with 2005 suspense thriller "Zeher".

After doing films like "Bold" and "Jannat", he turned to anchoring in 2008 with "Extraaa Innings T20" on SET Max. The 32-year-old even hosted "Survivor India" earlier this year.

Talking about his experience of working in a daily soap, he said: "The entire atmosphere is very new for me but I am happy to be part of such a fun show which is not like other saas bahu shows."

But when asked if he would be romancing protagonist Priya in the show, he refused to divulge any details.

"There will be a lot of twists and turns and a roller-coaster ride for the viewers. An exciting point is on the cards. But I am not going to disclose how and what is going to happen. Wait and watch," said Sameer.

Be it anchoring or acting, the actor enjoys both and says he wanted to connect with the audience through the show.

"I thought it is time to connect with the audience on a different level and showcase the versatile actor inside me. With 'Bade...' I got a chance to reach out to people whom I have never interacted with. I came with a very open mind and now I am really enjoying all the attention," he said.

Sameer, who takes everything in life as a project, will also be seen in Milan Luthria's "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai", for which he starts shooting later this year.

Ram-Sakshi return post Dubai fiasco

The lead pair of popular Indian serial 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain', Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, have returned to Mumbai after their shooting schedules in Dubai were halted due to some shooting permission related troubles.

Actor Ram Kapoor tweeted on Friday that he and co-star Sakshi have returned to India without any problem.

"We ran into some permission problems so we has to stop the shoot but that's all. Both Sakshi and me are back in Mumbai without any problem, " Kapoor tweeted.

Kapoor also rubbished reports that said he and Sakshi were under house arrest in Dubai.

He said: "Hi all! There are rumors that Sakshi and I are under house arrest in Dubai. So just clarifying that all that is utter nonsense!!"

Earlier, reports said the cast and crew of the serial were put under house arrest in Dubai after troubles erupted in connection to the shooting for the serial in the Asian city.

The unit was reportedly shooting on the streets and at shopping malls in the city without the required shoot clearance papers and the local authorities objected when they came to know about the matter.

Meanwhile, the popular serial that is watched by innumerable numbers of TV-viewers across the globe witnessed the much-awaited twist recently as the serial took a five-year leap.

Post-leap, the serial showed lead character Priya settled in Dubai with her daughter.

Producer Ekta Kapoor has also introduced Priya (Sakshi) and Ram's cute daughter Peehu, played by Amrita, in the latest episodes.

Moreover, keeping pace with the twist and turns, actor-anchor Samir Kochhar has made an entry in the serial.

He is playing a business tycoon named Rajat Kapoor.

According to reports, viewers will now see a love triangle between Ram, Priya and Rajat with the entry of Samir.

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain stars under house arrest!

The cast and crew of Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar's TV show put under house arrest for shooting without necessary permissions in Dubai

Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar’s ongoing shoot schedule in Dubai for their television show has come to a standstill. The unit had been shooting on the streets and at shopping malls in the desert emirate with new entry Samir Kocchar without the necessary permission.

As soon as local authorities realised it, they raised objections and placed the cast and crew under house arrest. They have been told to pack up and return to Mumbai as soon as possible. Says a source, “The unit had been freely shooting around Dubai and did not realise that they had not completed the necessary formalities for filming in the country.

The show has a lot of audience in the UAE. The presence of the cast created a buzz when they were spotted filming at public places. This was when the authorities demanded shoot clearance papers which they had not obtained.”
Adds the source, “The concerned authorities have put an immediate halt to the shoot. They were told not to shoot even a single sequence whether indoor or outdoors. The crew and cast have been told to stay put and leave the country or seek the necessary clearances for shooting.

This will not only affect the shoot schedule but also the telecast.” Since the past couple of episodes the current track of Ekta Kapoor’s production has the plot that has taken a five-year-leap unveiling in the desert emirate.
