The actress, who is there for the shooting of Sajid Nadiadwala’s Houseful with Akshay Kumar, was diagnosed with malaria a few days ago. “Initially, she continued to shoot because she didn’t want to waste the unit’s time,” says a source. When the fever increased, she became so weak, that she was unable to even get out of her bed.“What’s worse is that I’m feeling really guilty about falling ill in a foreign country, when an entire unit is on standby,” said Deepika via SMS. The actress is so weak, she is unable to talk.
Also, Deepika wants to be back in Mumbai later this week for the promotion of her forthcoming release. While co-star Akshay has been a source of strength, Deepika is still feeling absolutely weak-kneed and was in tears according to unit members because she can’t bear the guilt of holding up a shoot.
