Amrita Rao goes for a Hot makeover

Amrita Rao donning a bold avatar in the Bollywood movie Short Kut had astounded many. However the actress, who is best recognized for portraying the image of a traditional Indian girl on the silver screen, claims that she is not going for a complete change. The 29-year old actress says that she has no uncertainties in portraying characters that have a variety of shades and her celluloid-image depends on the type of roles that she bags.

Amrita Rao goes for a Hot makeover

She rubbished the claims of many who said that she donned her ‘bold’ image in order to get roles. She said that her image has got nothing to do with her getting roles, since she’s comfortable with her own style. She adds that her every approach is from the same spirit that truly represents the diverse avatars of the standard Indian girl.

She also says that she never had any formal training in acting and she has put in her heart and soul in every role she has got so far. She signs off by saying that as an actress she needs to believe in herself immensely in order to make the audience realize her acting potentials.

Deepika in Ashutosh's period thriller!

Salman Khan Follows Zarine Now

Salman Khan Follows Zarine NowWhy Salman Khan is following Katrina Kaif’s look-alike Zarine Khan? He is following her on Twitter and apart from being good friends; our Sallu Bhai is helping her grow in the B-Town and is suggesting her name to many of his filmmaker friends.

The first look of Zarine Khan in ‘Veer’ mesmerized many and she is termed as an endless beauty. She has many fans and now one of them is her ‘Veer’ hero Salman, who follows her on Twitter now.

Is there anything cooking up between them? Both the actors were also seen together at Aamir Khan’s bash for Argentina musician Gustavo Sanataolla.

Not only that, Zarine and Salman had also performed together on the IIFA stage. Now, its twitter which is bringing them together, but superhot actress, Katrina Kaif may have some problems with all these favours.

Bollywood Actress Katrina Kaif’s Lookalike In Adult Videos

Bollywood Actress Katrina Kaif’s Lookalike In Adult VideosA while ago we had posted a story that there had been adult videos involving Katrina Kaif spreading on the internet and through mobile phones.

Katrina Kaif was aware of the videos, denied any involvement in these videos and claimed that the girl in the video did not had any similar features like the bollywood actress herself.

We had just stumbled on a couple of videos in which the girl does seem to look like Katrina Kaif but it is definitely not Katrina Kaif.

One of the videos involved the girl getting involved with multiple guys and performing oral sex. However the girl is NOT at all Katrina Kaif.

The lookalike has got bunny teeth and you will not enjoy the video at all unless you are really into weird stuff. This might be a disappointment to some of the fans who had been looking for “real” steamy videos of Katrina Kaif.

Previously Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabella was caught up in a video of her own in which Isabella denied any involvement.

Trisha Krishnan In A Fix

Trisha Krishnan's debut Bollywood film Khatta Meetha, co-starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Priyadarshan, didn't fare as expected at the box-office. Even the critics found fault with her acting. Now Trisha is in a fix as she doesn't know which to choose - Bollywood or south Indian movies. She even turned down a few offers to accommodate Khatta Meetha.

Trisha Krishnan In A Fix

Raviteja starrer Don Seenu is one of them. For now, she has one untitled Hindi film in hand. The film in question is the remake of the Tamil hit Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (Ye Maaya Chesave in Telugu). To be directed by Gautham Menon, who directed the original too, it is all set to roll next month.

Sonam Is Made For Bollywood

Sonam Is Made For BollywoodIt’s a matter of pride that the chiseled beauty of Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor has become another eligible candidate who can seek role in Hollywood just from her naïve period.

But, she is a perfect Bollywood girl and has turned down the attractive offers.Recently, Sonam was offered a movie by Ben Stiller.

But she didn’t say a yes to him and made her way to the Bollywood. It is not a small task, as by rejecting one or two Tinsel Town offers, she could easily make it.

She is busy touring the world around for promoting ‘Aisha’ and she has become quite an international face of the Bollywood after ‘Aisha; got associated with the world brands.

The movie is releasing the next week. After that, she will be busy for Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut movie, ‘Mausam’, which will most probably release the next year.

Her other pipeline Bollywood projects are Anees Bazmi’s ‘Thank You’ and her home production English movie remake of ‘Freaky Friday’.

Anil Kapoor will also cast in the movie. So, this Indian beauty is completely for India till now and doesn’t seem diverted from her aim of becoming the top Bollywood actress.

Neil Nitin Mukesh smooches Deepika Padukone

Neil Nitin Mukesh smooches Deepika Padukone

The Bollywood smooching session is back again and this time its Bollywood Actors Neil Nitin Mukesh who smooches Deepika Padukone. Oh Yeah!! You got that correct :-)

Bollywood Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh had to kiss Bollywood Actress Deepika Padukone on screen for their forthcoming bollywood film Lafange Parindey and the actor reportedly got cold feet. Not because he’s a virgin screen-kisser and, well, Deepika Padukone has the experience of kissing Saif Ali Khan before camera for the movie Love Aaj Kal… but, apparently, because Neil’s had a no-kiss policy in all his films so far.

His first director Sriram Raghavan had thrown a fit when Neil refused to kiss Rimi Sen. In his second film, Tera Kya Hoga Johnny, director Sudhir Mishra insisted Neil kiss Shahana Goswami. But the actor refused. Even in Jail where there was a love-making scene with Mughda Godse, Neil refused to kiss the sultry actress. But Lafange Parindey director Pradeep Sarkar pulled the plug on Neil’s chastity vow. A source from the set said it was a long, torrid smooch comparable in intensity and duration to the Aamir Khan-Karisma Kapoor kiss in Raja Hindustani. And Neil was nervous!

To be kissing the lovely Deepika! Makes us wonder ;-) Drop your comments below about it!!

Sisters of Famous Actresses, who don't act

Recognise Anisha, Priya or Preeta? You probably won't or at least not until their last names are given. So let's try again: Do you know Anisha Padukone, Priya Rao or Preeta Balan? Yes, we are talking about the younger sisters of famous Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Amrita Rao and Vidya Balan, respectively.

Bollywood can not churn out a Kareena Kapoor for every Karisma Kapoor or a Shamita Shetty for every Shilpa Shetty. After all, some siblings don't want to be part of the glamourous and marvelous world that is Tinseltown.

Though these sisters might make it big in their respective field, we may never see them shine on the silver screen. Here's a list of sisters of the stars, and what they are up to:

Anisha Padukone:
Occupation: Professional golf player

Most young girls would love to have an elder sister like Deepika. Who wouldn't want to follow her footsteps, especially when the red carpet is already laid out in front of you?

But we guess Anisha Padukone in unlike other girls, and why shouldn't she
be? After all she is a professional golf player. In fact, Deepika once
said in an interview that she envies her sister and that Anisha's talent seems pretty extra-ordinary as compared to her own acting career.

Anisha did receive an offer to star in a Kannada film, but she has her own set
of goals that she wants to achieve, which doesn't include acting on
the silver screen.

Ahana Deol
Occupation: Professional dancer.

Her ENTIRE family is in the film business - right from her superstar parents to her half-brothers and cousins to, of course, her elder sister. So what makes her different from Esha Deol?

Apparently films don't interest Ahana, and it's partly because everyone around
her is doing it. As a matter of fact, Esha's first film Chura Liya Hai Tumne was offered to Ahana. And it was after her rejection that Esha was considered for the role. Talk about NOT eating from the proverbial silver spoon!

Anyway, apart from being an accomplished Bharatnatyam dancer, she plans to become a director someday. She is currently assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali Bhansali for his Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer ~~Guzaarish.

Rangoli Ranaut
Occupation: Housewife

Not much was known about Kangana Ranaut's family until her sister was subjected to an acid attack by a jilted lover. It made national news much to the discomfort of Rangoli, for she is quite a conservative girl, unlike Kangana.

Fortunately she recovered in time thanks to Kangana, who roped in the best surgeons for her treatment. Rangoli is now happily married to her long-time boyfriend
Vikram, and has no inclination to even move to Mumbai, let alone act in
Bollywood films.

Preeta Rao

She is the younger sister (and alleged twin) of pretty and petite Amrita Rao. Having studied History from Sophia College in Mumbai, she is also rumoured to be pursuing a higher degree in the US.

Sources close to her reveal that she is academically inclined. And although she
has done some modeling assignments she has no interest whatsoever in the glitz and glamour world that her sister is part of.

Priya Balan

Vidya Balan had her highs and lows in her film career but as a TV artist (inHum Paanch) she was reasonably successful. Then why didn't her sister ever dabble
in modeling?

Well, because she was apparently more interested in being behind the camera than in front of it. Ergo, Vidya's sister Priya is working in the mad world of advertising. She is working for Lowe-Lintas, where Paa director Balki is the head honcho.

Which sisters of the star would you like to see on celluloid? Leave a
comment and let us know.

Katrina Kaif I hope to find love

The recent success of Rajneeti and her participation in two exciting projects - Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan and Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Milegi Na Dubara - have made the year truly memorable and exciting. She had taken off from the unit to be with her family in London in the days leading up her birthday, which she had planned to spend in the British capital. However, a change in Zoya's schedule forced to recall Katrina to Spain a day before her birthday.

"My two youngest sisters Isabella and Sonia are coming back to Spain with me, so I have a part of my family with me. And I couldn't hope to be with a better unit on my birthday. Zoya Akhtar is one of the coolest directors I've worked with," she says. Happy Birthday Katrina! We hope you find the love that you seek, even if that means you will be breaking countless hearts.

I have been constantly reporting about Katrina Kaif shooting in Spain for Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara but she has found a home away from home as the team of the film is as close as a family. So much so that they not only remembered her Birth day on 16th July but have also planned a surprise party to make feel special on this special day.

They have all decided to shoot like any other day and would surprise her at the stroke of the midnight. She would be really touched!

Are Lara-Hesh house hunting?

Are Lara-Hesh house huntingAnother star couple may soon make Bandra their home. The suburb is abuzz with news that Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi who have been seen together in public numerous times and are rumoured to be a couple, are house hunting in the area togetherAccording to a Bandra-based broker.

The couple has been looking at houses in the area for quite some time. "They need a 4-BHK apartment with a sea view within a budget of nearly Rs 15 crore," said the broker.

He added that getting a house in Bandra according to the couple's specifications is easy given their budget, but what isn't is finding one that the actress really likes. "They have seen at least six houses so far, including some near Bandstand, but Lara is still waiting to be shown the 'right' house," he said.

While Lara remained unavailable for comment, her secretary, Divya Tejuja, denied the news. "She (Lara) already has a house in Bandra and has been staying there for years now. News of her looking for a house with Bhupathi is absolutely untrue."

Stuck in the Middle: Bollywood's delayed films

Stuck in the Middle Bollywoods delayed filmsThis past Friday, the Shahid and Kareena starrer Milenge Milenge, finally hit theaters after a six year wait. It is the latest in a long line of films to be seen on screen after an extended delay.

It was only down to hard work and persistence from producer Boney Kapoor that this stuck film made it to the final hurdle, way after its scheduled 23 December 2005 release.

Shooting began on Milenge Milenge when the stars were still a couple. Since then, Kareena has of course gone on to become one half of the Saifeena jodi, while Shahid has been linked with Vidya, Priyanka, Genelia and whichever heroine he happens to be co-starring with at the time. And to think Shahid and Kareena's last film Jab We Met is universally regarded as their best performance, filmed as the couple were heading towards serious splitsville. One of the problems of selling new wine in an old bottle is continuity. Check out Kareena go from not-so-slim to slim to size zero and back again, and watch Shahid as he fluctuates between the boyish chocolate boy of yesteryears to the almost thirty-something he is today.

This is not the first Bollywood film to be stuck. Earlier this year Dulha Mil Gaya was released in January after being held up for a couple of years. In 2007, Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu and Sanjay Dutt starrer Nehlle Pe Dehlla was finally unleashed. Originally titled Jimmy aur Johnny, the comedy was completed in 2002 where it sat collecting dust. Govinda in Naughty @ Forty is another one hit by hard times. Shooting started on the project over two years ago, but the latest is - the producers are out of money. Sushmita Sen again, still no sign of dream project Rani Laxmi Bai.

Then there are the films which fall into the all talk no action category. Take Mallika Sherawat starrer Hisss, long since wrapped, no amount of Cannes appearances or Mallika tweeting brings its release date any closer. What about Preity Zinta-Shiney Ahuja starrer Harr Pal? In light of recent circumstances, my money says this one is never going to see the light of day!

Although most stuck films tend to lay an egg at the box office, there are exceptions. Hindi film epic Mughal-e-Azam was originally planned in 1944, shelved due to political tensions, and had been in production for nine years when it released in 1960, going on to give record collections. It remains to be seen if Milenge Milenge can do a Mughal-e-Azam.

Emraan Hashmi - a don with an edge!

Emraan Hashmi - a don with an edge!Underworld dons in Hindi films are like cardboard cutouts of the stereotypical baddies who smoke ciggies, talk less, glower more, and gun down their foes without as much.

As a flicker of guilt. But expect a fresh depiction of the lords of the crime world in director Milan Luthria’s Once Upon.

A Time In Mumbaai, starring Emraan Hashmi, Ajay Devgan, Kangana Ranaut and Prachi Desai. Emraan, who plays a don, says the film would be a turning point of his career.

He adds that his character is unlike the dons we have seen in Hindi films before. “It's a turning point of my career. I have played mostly romantic and intense roles.

On-screen criminals and underworld dons are mostly one-dimensional but here we have tried to give them an edge, to bring an emotional context... good songs, so that the film becomes more colourful and not dark,” the actor is quoted as saying by a news agency.

Emraan’s role in the film required him to develop six pack abs. “I hate this term six-pack. When Milan narrated the script he made sure that the character demands an overall muscular physique. Because of the action sequences, the toughness in the look was required,” Emraan said.

I'm almost half-naked in Aisha - Ira Dubey

Sexy shorts and tank tops - actress Lillete Dubey's daughter Ira Dubey has worn all this and even less for her first commercial Bollywood film Aisha in order to look flamboyant and wild, and says she felt almost "half-naked". "My character in Aisha is quite flamboyant and wild. So my clothes required to be bizarrely quirky and bold.Fashion is a huge element in Aisha," Ira told IANS.

I'm almost half-naked in Aisha Ira Dubey

She added: "I was told that whichever clothes you see on the ramp and say - 'Who will wear that?' - that's the confidence that my character Pinki Bose must have." So, she did just that. "My own personal style of dressing is very experimental.

I like to have fun with my clothes. One day I came back from my trials and told my elder sister Neha that I have to wear really bizarre clothes for Aisha. She said: 'That's easy because it will be just like you!' Then I told her it is 20 times more bizarre than I can get!" Ira said.

"There are clothes in funky and bold colours and they are really short. I keep joking that I'm almost half-naked in the film. There are really short pairs of shorts and I wear a bikini in a scene where we play beach volleyball," she said.

"In 60-70 percent of the film, I am wearing shorts and wear one or two skirts as well," added Ira, who insisted on wearing spectacles in the film to add zing to her character.

The 26-year-old theatre actress said she has developed a brave fashion sense after Aisha, which is based on Jane Austen's popular novel Emma.

"I have definitely become braver in style. I have a very petite frame and my co-actors used to keep saying 'you can carry them off well'. Even though I do wear a lot of funky stuff, I haven't been very bold," she said.

"But I guess now I am a little more confident on that front," said Ira, who requested producer Rhea Kapoor to let her keep a pair of chic navy blue boots that she wore in the film. Before Aisha, Ira featured in Rohan Sippy's The President Is Coming and also was a movie critic for Sony Pix's Chicks On Flicks.

At the moment, she is "a bundle of nerves" and hopes she does not get typecast in Bollywood. "It's very easy to get typecast in the Indian film industry. In my last film The President Is Coming, I played a sophisticated upper class girl. In Aisha also, I play someone who likes high-end things. But now I really want to work with directors like Anurag Kashyap and Vishal Bharadwaj to play more grounded roles," Ira said.

"I've done many strong, female-oriented roles in plays, so I am capable of doing simpler looking, tough roles and prove that I can handle a whole lot of diverse work," she added. Aisha also features Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Arunoday Singh and newcomers Amrita Puri and Lisa Haydon. Ira plays the role of Pinky Bose, a filthy rich girl who is best friends with Sonam's character Aisha.

Kareena's football party fun

World Cup fever was at its peak last night, and even those B’wood folks who couldn’t make it to South Africa were partying away. Take Kareena Kapoor, who joined Karan Johar and Amrita Arora at Maheep Kapoor’s house for a football party. Who’s the guy in the picture with her here? Well, that’s ‘Wake Up Sid’ director Ayan Mukherjee who got bonding with Bebo at the bash.

Kareenas football party fun.

Other stars were watching at home, and a lot of them predicted the winner right too, just like Paul, the octopus. Aamir Khan posted on his Twitter page, “Ok. I back Spain. This time I'm on the same side as Paul. Lets see if hs ability 2 predict correctly is strong, or my ability 2 predict wrong!”

Once Spain defeated Holland, Aamir added, “Dear Paul, aap purush nahi... Octopus ho.”Big B posted in the same vein: "Paulie Baba zindabad !! Didn't kick a single ball and lifted WorldCup .."Abhishek Bachchan added, “Guess it was just Spain's night! God help us all now, here come the octopus interviews. Dying to see what the news channels do with it....”

Riteish Deshmukh had his own funny line to add, “Yeaaaaahhhhhhhh OCTOPUS WON - POPAT KA POPAT HO GAYA,” referring to the parrot that had predicted that Holland would win. Karan Johar then said, “Ok!! Octopus baba rules!! Welcome the new astrologer of the world!!”

Arshad Warsi added: “Witnessed one of the most aggressive match last night... Well deserved victory for Spain... Paul Baba ki jai ho..” And Bollywood’s ladies were in on the fun too. Shilpa Shetty posted on her Twitter page, “Spain won yay! Trusted Paul (the octopus) so supported them And won a bet!!..ha ha ha..

Sonam Kapoor, whose dad Anil watched the match in Africa, had a very girly take on the match. “Spain won.. Woo hoo.. The hotties are gonna remove their jerseys now,” she posted. And Bipasha Basu took the time to praise her man John Abraham. “Why do I need to know Paul's predictions? I have John the octopus! He predicted rt from d start Spain would win. They did! Yay!”

Amrita Rao, Tusshar Kapoor Start Filming for Love U... Mr. Kalakaar

Production for Rajashree Entertainment's Love U... Mr. Kalakaar, a young love story headlining Amrita Rao and Tusshar Kapoor has started. The unit is shooting 14 hours a day with trademark Rajashri efficiencies. Unlike Rajshri's past megahits - Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Hum Saath Saath Hain and Vivah, Amrita's debut film - the new film is not focused on a marriage.

Also, Sooraj Barjatya, who wielded the baton for the past hits, is taking a backseat. Love U... Mr. Kalakaar, the first of a 3 film deal between Amrita Rao and Rajshir Productions, is being helmed by debutant director S Manasvi, an FTII graduate who has also written the story and the screen play.

It is the story of Sahil (Tusshar Kapoor), a cartoonist, an artist who derives his inspiration from emotions that come from the sky, from the earth, a scrap of paper, a passing shape, a spider's web; while Ritu (Amrita Rao) is a management trainee, whose world revolves around debits, credits, turnovers, profits, deadlines. She falls in love with Sahil.

Bipasha Basu wants to touch up!

Bipasha Basu wants to touch up!.jLike all successful entrepreneurs, Bipasha Basu is looking to expand her horizons. The Bollywood bombshell, who is launching her chic fitness line and her second fitness DVD only months after she floated her company, is planning to hit the cosmetics industry by storm.

“I think I understand cosmetics and make-up very well. I’m known for my make-up and it is something I have been always interested in.

So, naturally my transition into the cosmetics industry is only a matter of time now. I have plans in place and I’m waiting for the right moment to take the plunge. I believe that like my other business ventures, this too will be successful as it is quite up my alley,” Bipasha reveals to DNA.

Ask her what new innovation she will bring to the table and the kind of cosmetics range she will have (as we wondered if it will only focus on dusky women since it’s Bips’ complexion), and she shoots, “It will be for all complexions but yes Asian girls will definitely be my priority. I want to make my brand international too but not before I establish it in India.

But yes, I know all about how to do make-up fordusky skin. My speciality iseye make-up as I have had Asian girls run up to me to ask for make-up tips when I was in London. They loved the kind of make-up I do and I think it’s one of my plus points,” she says. Bipasha, who is currently awaiting the release of her sensitive movie on Kashmir directed by Rahul Dholakia, says despite stones hurled at her in Kashmir when the shooting was taking place, she does not fear for her life.

“I had thought that I could not get out of Kashmir that day and that we all would get killed. The mob was angry but I think things have settled down now. I do not fear for my life because we have made an honest film and as soon as people see the film, people will understand the intention. It’s sad that we did have to cancel the Kashmir premiere due to the curfew and the tension in the valley.”

The actor is also longing for acclaimed director Rituporno Ghosh’s long delayed film Draupadi to kick off. “It’s one project that I can’t wait to work in. I’m fascinated by her character. It’s a film about power and emotions in a historical setting. It’s just dealing with the human side. I love Draupadi and the things she went through in her life are monumental. It will be great to play her,” she ends.

Akshay did not interfere: Trisha

Akshay did not interfere TrishaOne can well expect Trisha to deliver in her debut Bollywood outing Khatta Meetha. After all she is not quite a newbie in the industry and already has close to 35 films to her credit down South.

In the industry for more than 7 years now, she has seen quite a lot and is pretty much established. Now that she has got a Bollywood launch with none other than Akshay Kumar as a co-star cum producer and Priyadarshan as a director, it couldn’t have been better than that.

Still, considering the fact that Priyadarshan-Akshay is a tried and tested ‘jodi’, one wonders if she ever got scared about being sidelined. “Yes, eventually this is Akshay’s film but then I don’t mind that. Many of my predecessors had some of the best kick starts but couldn’t travel much distance.

I hope to make a point in Khatta Meetha even though it may not be a conventional launch”, admits Trisha who plays the role of a collector who locks horns with ex-boyfriend Akshay Kumar, a road contractor, in the film.

With the basic plotline cutting down the romance angle, doesn’t she ever feel that she could have rather started off in Bollywood with a love story?

“This is my first film and I can’t be too choosy; let’s admit that”, says Trisha with a smile. “For a start, I have to be seen with big star and a director who gives guaranteed box office return. I guess this is good enough to make your first move.

I won’t say that there is no love story at all in the film. It may not be there for the complete two and a half hours of the film but there is a thread of love story between me and Akshay that plays through the film.”

One hears that as a producer of the film, Akshay went extra long to make sure that she was being taken care of well. What does Trisha have to say about that?

“That's right”, she confirms. “It was quite funny that despite being a producer, there was no producer-like interference from him on the sets. I didn’t see any such traits from Akshay. He was more like a co-star all the time and made sure that I give my best for the role.”

Katrina Kaif's weakness and strength

Katrina Kaifs weakness and strengthWe know that Katrina Kaif has a weakness that she can’t hide. It’s her accented dialogue delivery in films. It’s been more than six years since the angelic beauty stepped into Bollywood, but she can’t still get that Brit accent out of her Hindi dialogues.

Despite that the gal has managed to not just cement her place but rise to the top in B-Town because she also has a strength. It’s her ability to impeccably memorize pages of lengthy dialogues.

Not the one to cover up her shortcomings, Katrina gets no hiccups in admitting that she struggles in her accent. But her memory makes up for this weakness.

“What makes it all easy is that I have a very good memory...I only need to work on the accent...” she is quoted as saying by a news daily. The actress is presently in Spain shooting for director Zoya Akhtar’s movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara with Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol.

Bips suffers shaadi blues

John Abraham is not proposing to his girlfriend of nine years Bipasha Basu just yet. Both the actors are currently committed to making the most of their Bollywood innings. And since they’re also enjoying their relationship, neither is in any hurry to walk down the altar. But it is interesting to know that had Bipasha accompanied John to Indian cricket skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s recent shaadi.

Bips suffers shaadi blues

This wedding would have only been the third wedding she has attended in 28 years. Bips confessed that she suffers from shaadi blues, and the reason why she has only been in two weddings in her entire life is because she can’t handle the whole getting decked up routine that is mandatory for guests and the bride at the big, fat Indian wedding.

“I hate getting decked up,” says Bips. So she actually goes to great lengths to avoid going to a marriage. “I’m okay with attending receptions,” she says. “You can still get away with just wearing something formal and nice to a reception. But the actual shaadi ceremony is something I have avoided all these years.” Of course, when John pops the question, which he ultimately will, then Bips has no issues being the beaming bride in full finery.

Neha has no issues with Aishwarya and Akshay

Neha has no issues with Aishwarya and AkshayNeha Dhupia created waves with the bold films like Julie and Sheesha in the beginning of her career, however, those films did not give her recognition of kind.
She was expecting and now she as we all know she has reduced as some sidey in a multi-starrer film.

Her upcoming film Action Replayy stars Akshay and Aishwarya and of course the film will more carry the duo rather than her but she has no issues with it as she loves acting.

About which she says that the screen space that she is getting, the timing and the character which is given to her is perfect.

Her director Vipul Shah according to her was extremely kind to her plus she also enjoyed working with many new comers. Her role in the film is called Mona and she is sporting a retro look of nineties in the film.

Akshay is passé, Kat is now lucky for Ranbir

Bollywood’s lucky mascot’ - that’s Katrina Kaif for you. And considering her track record of hits in last four years, the tag is justified. “Katrina Kaif has a commendable record of hit films to her name. She scored a hattrick with Akshay Kumar and now seems to be doing the same with Ranbir Kapoor, with whom she worked with in Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and Raajneeti,” said a trade analyst. “The audience just seems to love the pair.”

Akshay is passé, Kat is now lucky for Ranbir

Interestingly, Kat has never denied that she holds audience’s appreciation over acclaim. “I know critics have loved the film [Raajneeti] and that feels great. But I have always waited for the audience’s reaction more than the critics,” said the actress who is shooting in Spain currently.

It is very easy to fall prey to depression: Vidya Balan

When everything from her love life to her fashion sensibilities were dissected, one thing that no one could point.

Their fingers at was Vidya Balan’s acting abilities. Considered by almost every film-maker as one of Bollywood’s finer actors.

Vidya has only let her work do the talking. The last two years of her acting career have been phenomenal as.

She has swept every award for her performances in films like Paa, in which she played Amitabh Bachchan’s mother and Ishqiya, where she was a conniving seductress.

“I feel humbled and thrilled at the same time. The last two years only validated my belief that good films always work.

And that I should only choose films with good scripts. I have got a good response in out-and-out commercial films as well as different cinema.
I’m not pigeon-holing myself into any typecast. I choose exciting work. I’m too greedy to just work in off-beat movies and let go of commercial films,” says Vidya.

Talking about if she experienced the same kind of alienation that the late model Viveka Babajee was reported to have faced.

She says, “It is hard to cope up with constant criticism. Those days whenever I used to open the papers it was like.Vidya Balan’s name had to be there either for her personal life or for her fashion sense. But no one could say anything bad about my acting. That is where I drew my courage from and concentrated to channelize my attention,” she says.

Vidya adds, “Like modeling, even in acting it is very easy to fall prey to depression. But I believe nothing is worth giving up life for. I’m a heavily optimistic person and I would tell one and all to believe that there are rays of light after darkness.”

The actor says she is more at peace with herself by accepting how she looks and dresses up. “I think I was trying to be someone else and trying to fit into a mould which people were not accepting. I’m grateful to those criticisms about my weight, dressing sense because I realized that I was trying to forcefully do something. I realized I just have to be myself,” she says. When asked if she has done something different as her recent photoshoots have her going glam, she adds, “It’s the same Vidya but in a happier and fearless space,” she ends.

Cold war between Hot Katrina Kaif and Lovely Kareena kapoor

Bollywood seems to be the right place for cold wars and rivalry and every day something happens i.e. hideous and taut. Between actors and sometimes between actresses, it always happens between and among our Bollywood stars.

This time one news is swelling that Kareena was having shoots at same location where Katrina was also shooting for her some of the movie. The bad thing is that they both did not interact to each other even after the shoots were being held in same area.

It is also said that both actress made a reasonable distance to ignore each other. It is true that in Bollywood cold war becomes hot war in seconds and this happened many time to many actors and actresses. We hope it shall not take place between Katrina and Kareena and rest future will reveal.

Milenge Milenge review: Too staid for a comedy, too bland for a romance

Milenge Milenge is a prime `how-not-to’ example of turning an original film’s unique concept into a predictable Bollywood romance.

Milenge Milenge was made five years ago. The Indian film audience has since evolved and has developed a taste for more stimulating stories.

Of course, rom-coms are still the popular flavour, but even love stories are checking their syrupiness level and adding a dose of authenticity. In this film, the heroine describes her life’s goal as finding Mr Right, having two kids, and looking after the home and children while the husband is off to work.

Stepford Wives, anyone? For characterisation, you have the girl smiling at everyone, including unsuspecting security staff, buying flowers for no reason, and staring at wedding lehenga-cholis longingly at store windows.

Writer-director Satish Kaushik (Karzzz, Tere Naam, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai) has always had a problem portraying his female characters effectively. Stuck in a time warp, he believes that the leading lady ought to be a teddy-bear adoring, love-crazy girl without a mind or a spine.

So our protagonist Priya (Kareena Kapoor with the favourite screen name back then), is thrilled when a tarot card reader predicts that she will find her love within seven days, at 7 a.m., and the lover will be wearing seven colours.

She falls in love with Immy (Shahid Kapoor) who meets her ideal of being a teetotaller and a non-liar. But then we realise that Immy’s been manipulating her all along. And there’s where comes in Serendipity, the 2001Hollwood success from which the rest of the film’s plot is taken.

Priya decides to test destiny, and determine whether they’re meant for each other. Phone numbers are written on a book and a currency note. `If we’re meant to find each other, we’ll find each other’s numbers,’ they say and sign off. Now three years later.

They’re still in love with each other, but without any means to contact. That’s the ‘rom’ part. The ‘com’ part is the kind to make your toes curl. For it takes a special kind of endurance to sit through Shahid Kapoor and his college friends in drag, heaving their implants to a raunchy song.

Shahid plays the lover-boy with his usual stock of expressions that hasn’t changed over the years. His earnestness and sincerity shines through as always, though. Kareena’s character is super-boring, but her effervescence somewhat makes up for the wishy-washy character sketch.

In keeping with those times, we must endure Kareena Kapoor with blonde highlights and garish make-up (shocking pink nails, always shiny lips). And, yes, both lead characters have “best friends” employed solely for the reason of making the lead pair look good.

So forget about the film. Everyone knows it’s dated. The main draw is the onscreen, once off-screen, pairing of Kareena and Shahid. They’re cute together, but they don’t share the fun chemistry of Jab We Met. Too staid for a comedy, too bland for a romance, the film might draw those viewers keen on seeing Kareena-Shahid onscreen again.
