Vidya Balan and Saif Ali together in Dream Sequence

Remember Parineeta the Bollywood debut of demure Vidya Balan who had won all hearts with that poignant and alluring film. Vidya had paired up with Saif Ali Khan in that block buster based on a Bengali novel and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Then they were next seen in ‘Eklavya: The Royal Guard’. However, that film sank without a trace. But now the actors meet again in ‘Dream Sequence’, a film that shall be directed by the crafty Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by the reputed Balaji Motion Pictures.

However, Vidya wasn’t the 1st choice for this film. Earlier, Deepika Padukone was slated to do the film coz the makers wanted to cash in on the popularity of the ‘Love Aaj Kal’ pair Saif and Padukone. However, Deepika pulled out after Saif sounded uncertain and Abhay Deol was being eyed as a possible replacement.

But finally Saif stayed back after being convinced by Vishal Sir with whom he has worked in ‘Omkara.’ But the exit of Deepika paved way for a grand entry of Vidya Balan who has rubbed shoulders with Vishal in ‘Ishqiya’.

Now things are settling down and all are excited about the project. But it is to be seen if Vidya and Saif can conjure up the same chemistry of ‘Parineeta’ or would ‘Dream Sequence’ would shatter a la Eklavya?
