Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif pair up after a long time in Kabir Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger' and their chemistry gets a boost with the film's soundtrack. It has eight tracks, a mix of compositions by Sajid-Wajid, Sohail Sen and Julius Packiam.

The album opens up with "Mashallah", a groovy number sung by Wajid and Shreya Ghoshal. The song has a very Middle-East feel with Arabic words thrown in between. Shreya lends her sensual touch and pulls off the track amazingly. It is definitely one of the best tracks in the album. It also has a remix version done by Joshilay, which is more fast-paced than the original and is equally likable.

Next up on the playlist is "Laapta". It makes you itch to hit the dance floor and groove the night away. Composed by Sohail Khan, this one is crooned by KK and Palak Muchhal, whose voices blend very well. Neelesh Mishra has penned the lyrics, and he has done his job well. The song also has a remixed version by Joshilay. It has heavy techno beats.
"Banjaara" follows next. The expectations from this number were high given that it is sung by Sukhwinder Singh, who has one of the most distinct and original voice in Bollywood.

However, even with his high-pitched tone, it has turned out to be an ordinary composition with overtly simple lyrics. One tries to look for comfort in its remix by Joshilay, but apart from the inclusion of powerful beats, there is nothing great about it as well.

One goes on a musical high with the next, "Saiyaara", a soft and slow song. It is a beautiful composition with Mohit Chauhan behind the mike, and seldom does his song hit rock bottom. With Taraannum Malik joining him, the song becomes all the more melodious and together they create an enchanting experience for the listener.
Last but not the least is "Tiger's Theme", which has some electronic beats and elements that remind you of James Bond themes. The track has been put together well by Julius Packiam and it intrigues the listener about how it will be played and used during the movie.

Overall, the soundtrack of "Ek Tha Tiger" offers the listener the romantic and action flavour of the movie. This one's definitely an entertaining affair with an array of sounds for music lovers.
