Writers are running the show: Ali Fazal

Three films old actor Ali Fazal, last seen in "Always Kabhi Kabhi", feels writers should get more limelight.

"Commercial cinema is getting good writers and I think that is what is changing. The script is very important. Even if it is a comedy and even if it is not a serious cinema, writers should get more coverage the way directors and actors get. They are the ones who are running the show right now," Ali told.

The 26-year-old actor started his career with the serious role of Joy Lobo in Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots" and went on to do a chocolate boy character Sameer Khanna in "Always Kabhi Kabhi". He is now set to feature in comedy "Ban Gayi Baat".

The actor feels it is great that people are accepting different sorts of scripts, and said: "It's amazing because at the same time there is a Rohit Shetty film that worked brilliantly. They catch the masses and then there is a beautiful movie like 'Vicky Donor'.
