After watching Gangs of Wasseypur -2, there are ample reasons to understand that why the movie received those tons of accolades and whistles from the the elites of global showbiz.
Gangs of Wasseypur-2 the much awaited of cinematic depiction of a mafia ridden town made it to the celluloid today. Inspite of being released on a week day Gangs of Wasseypur opened with an occupancy of 65 % at the multiplexes.
Synopsis:
Gangs Of Wasseypur-II is a fitting conclusion to the story of vengeance, which showcases a new generation of 'Mafia Raj' at Wasseypur, where money squandering lobbyists seems turning into foolhardy gangs overnight.
With scrap trade auctions over Internet, corrupt government officials, election rigging and hooliganism, Wasseypur gets murkier, with everyone wanting an alliance with the most powerful man of Wasseypur, Faizal Khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and as far as Faizal is concerned, then his sole ambition is to annihilate Ramadhir Singh (Tigmanshu Dhulia) the person behind the murder of his father Sardar Khan and his grandfather.
The movie very well takes off from the climax of prequel, Gangs of Wasseypur-1, where Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpayee) dies. And his eldest son Danish Khan (Vineet Kumar) gracefully steps into his shoes, whereas his younger Faizal Khan (Nawazuddin Siddique) is still the pot-head, unaffected, untouched by any kind of emotional bonding towards his family.
In the course of avenging his fathers assasination, Danish also meets the same fate and gets murdered by Sultan (Pankaj Tripathi). As the story moves ahead after the murder of Danish, Nagma Khatoon (Richa Chadda) exhorts her son Faizal to avenge the assasination of his grandfather, father Sardar Khan ( Manoj Bajpai in the prequel) and his brother.
With the movin ahead of story, Faizal steps into the shoes of his father and emerge as one of the most sought after gangster of Wasseypur with his outreach in various illegal domains of gray lanes including iron scrap trading, government auctions/ tenders and hooliganism.
During the course of his vendetta Faizal teams up with his half sibling Definite who is being reared by his mother Durga (Reema Sen), to emerge as the monarch of Wasseypur's mafia fraternity. As the story proceeds, it showcases the saga of vengeance that how Faizal decides to step in the political aisles and what destiny offers him in reality.
Though Gangs of Wasseypur is a sequel to the earlier released mafia saga, GOW-1, but it won't be wrong to say that with a near to perfect and self contained script it is much a film in itself, which takes of so beautifully that the the only component of the previous tale that use to stay in the mind of cine buffs is that, somewhere down his conscious, Faisal want to avenge the assassination of his father and grandfather's Ramadhir Singh (Tigmanshu Dhulia).
As stated the script of, Gangs of Wasseypur-2, is so beautifully knitted and linked with the narration of the prequel that it no where leaves masses scratching their heads to establish a link-up with the previous part of the movie.
Another front on which the script of Gangs of Wasseypur-2 thoroughly deserves to be accoladed is, for weaving a whole brigade of characters with utmost perfection and leaving no scope for ambiguity about the identity of the character.
The movie takes off with a miraculous beauty where the film recapitulates about five minutes of the climax of the first part where Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpayee) was assassinated, and the after that there is no scope for attention of the cine buffs to get divorced from the celluloid.
Well garnished with a decent dose of drama, action and farcical humor surrounded around mafia nexus and revenge, first half of the movie is simply spellbinding which no where deviates the attention of the cine buffs.
Throughout the course of the movie. the ambiance which otherwise could have been perceived as melodrama if offered in some other movie is served with such an adroitness with a generous dollops of humor that it leaves no scope for yawns and monotony.
With his next to perfect cinematography, Anuraag completely manages to have a control over the flow of the tale, leaving the masses with only what is necessary to go ahead with in the film.
Well as far as the dialogues of the GOW-2 are concerned then the only thing which can be said about its is that they couldn't have been better than this. With a next to perfect shade of regional lingo, the dialogues of the movie no where looks like obtruded element with unwanted mouthing of regional dialect to authenticate the validity of the onscreen substance.
Acting / Performances:
With their power packed performances, protagonists of the Gangs of Waseypur-2 have very well proved that, it is not a compulsory mandate to have big names in the list of star cast to make a cine saga a cult classic.
As Faizal Nawazuddin Siddiqui penetrates deep into the skin of the character with utmost dexterity. By his equivocally well performance as Faizal Khan, Nawaz thoroughly succeeds in making his viewers believe that they are actually on a jaunt to Wasseypur and they are very much a part of the trials and tribulations of Faizal's life in Wasseypur.
Huma Qureshi has looked stupendous through out the movie. And on top of it her marvellous acting skills are like a slap on the face of demure natives of tinsel town, who are captivated within the confines of their self proclaimed supremacy. With her character play as Mohsina, Huma breaks down a stereotype for too many.
Richa Chaddha shines unfaltering through out the movie and very well carries the role of a mother, who unflinchingly pushes her son to kill people in cold blood to avenge the assassination of his father.
In the performance department of GOW-2 the supporting cast too deserves to be patted for their utmost excellence in performing their respective roles.
Though the movie don't have much to offer in the music department, but whatever it has including the tracks like "Taar Bijli" and "Moora" very well goes with the soul of the movie.
And these carols deserves to be accoladed for doing a perfect justice to the regional folksy tunes, which are knitted with utmost excellence in the story.
BO Potential:
As far as the BO potential of Gangs of Wasseypur -2 is concerned, then the only thing which can be said about it is that it has got all the colors required to make a cult movie.With a perfect dose of small town mafia conflicts, humor, drama and soul taping dialogues the movie is expected to emerge as one of the cult movies of Indian cinema.
Possibly, the BO collection of GOW-2 may not succeed in matching the level of core commercial movies, but being a whizzbang entertainer it surely going to make it to the list of memorable movies of Indian cinema.
To sum up Gangs of Wasseypur-2 is a power puffed performances, which is miles ahead of its prequel. With an unbelievably perfect blend of action, drama, farcical humor and a smooth flowing narration, it's a must watch, which promises three things to cine goers and that is entertainment, entertainment and entertainment.

Good Start to Part 2 , acting of Nawazuddin Siddiqui was kool , the movie is tooooo loong and too stretched in the end . Over all a good entertainment . Missed Manoj Bajpai.
