Nandita Das on why she opted out of Midnight's Children

Nandita Das was recently in news for making her debut as a director on stage. But the lady has been missing in action from the big screen.

She had even signed for the film adaptation of Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children but opted out of it, as she felt her child was really small. When B-S caught up with the actress, she revealed that she's doing two films now.

They are pivotal roles but didn't demand more than a week's time from me. One is a Tamil film, while another is a Hindi film that we shot on the outskirts of Mumbai. That was the first time I left Vihaan at home, said Nandita.
