Movie Review: Jab Tak Hai Jaan will be remembered

Starring: Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Anupam Kher

Director: (Late) Yash Chopra

Ratings: * * * *

Jab Tak Hai Jaan is the film from the man who taught the country how to Romance and fall in Love. Yash Chopra, The 'Legend' who recently left the world said Jab Tak Hai Jaan would be his last film as a Director and wished his film would be a great HIT. Maybe God was in the good mood that time, God granted his last words as the last wish and brought him to heaven to make films for the Almighty.

From the film, Shah Rukh Khan also proved that he 'Is' still the 'Baadshah' of Romance and Love. Shah Rukh was absolutely right in one of his Interviews, Jab Tak Hai Jaan is not just a Film for him, It is much more.
Samar Anand (Shah Rukh Khan), assigned with the Bomb Defusing Squad of the Indian Army is a man who flirts with death at every step of his life. He has successfully cut short the lives of ninety-seven bombs and is on his ninety-eighth one when the film begins.

There is Akira Rai (Anushka Sharma) a twenty-one year old intern and is dying to get placed with the Discovery Channel. The girl dives headlong into the freezing cold waters of a crystal-blue lake with Major Anand sitting on the banks.

She passes out in the water and a nonchalant Samar saves her, makes her wear his jacket and rides off on his Motor Bike. Once in the room, off falls Samar Anand's diary from one of the pockets of his jacket on to Akira's hands and the girl is transported back in time into the life of a twenty-five year old Samar.
Samar there, loves Meera (Katrina Kaif). A girl who hates 'brown, boring' Indians and dreams that someday she will get married off to some English 'Gora'.

But destiny has other plans for her and by a complicated turn of events that involves Meera learning music from Samar, both fall in love with each other. Meera's already had her `arrangement` - engagement, in Samar's words. A series of promises to Jesus, Samar goes off to the Indian Army.
Shah Rukh Khan's performance can make many more smitten by him. The arms-outstretched pose, Khan knows how to make his ladies fall for him. The world will start falling in love with him again. King Khan is back.

The another 'Best' and 'Amazing' performance is by Anushka Sharma. This girl will surely play with your hearts by her Charm and Smile. Katrina Kaif does full justice to her part. She is very much convincing.

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh with their extended cameo are Brilliant. Watch the scene where Katrina meet's up with Neetu Singh. This scene will surely give tears in your eyes.
Yash Chopra before leaving the world once again proved that he is a 'Legend'. Only he can make 'Romance' come alive on the Indian Screen, Only Yash Chopra could have made those mesmerizing locales of Pehalgam and Ladakh come alive on celluloid.

Full marks to (Late) Yash Chopra and his execution over Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Musically, A.R.Rahman is just Mind-Blowing. All of his songs from JTHJ will be remembered.

There's another unsung Hero of the film, Anil Mehta's camera-work, Which leaves you speechless with the most beautiful locations captured in a most unique way.
The film will be remembered.. The performances will be remembered.. Yash Chopra will be remembered.. Jab Tak Hai Jaan will be remembered... Jab Tak Hai Jaan!!!
