Rakhi Sawant takes on Digvijaya Singh

Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant on Monday said she had written a complaint to the Mumbai police commissioner against Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh for comparing her to social activist Arvind Kejriwal in a derogatory manner.

Accusing the Congress leader of making indecent and lewd remarks, Sawant in her letter to the police chief asked for an FIR to be filed against him for outraging the modesty of a woman.

Claiming to be "deeply aggrieved" by Singh's comments, Sawant said she has also asked her lawyer to issue a defamation notice to Singh and seeks Rs 50 crore in damages for attacking her "noble character".

"I do not know Digvijaya personally. By passing such comment he (Digvijaya) has lowered my image and reputation, ` she said in the letter, a copy of which was also sent to the state Home Secretary.

Posting a message on Twitter, Singh on Sunday had compared activist-turned-politician Kejriwal with Rakhi saying they both try and expose but without any substance.

"Arvind Kejriwal is like Rakhi Sawant. They both try and expose but with no substance, " Singh tweeted.

Later however he sought an apology, saying "Apologies to Rakhi Sawant I am an old fan of hers!"
