Finally, Salman Khan says YES to Angela Johnson

It's finally happening for Angela Johnson. After a nearly 2-year wait her celluloid debut is happening. Salman Khan has not only given his final nod to Angela as his leading lady in his prestigious home production Sher Khan, director Sohail Khan has dropped the second leading lady's part, so that the focus of attention would be completely on the lissom Ms Johnson. 

Says a source close to the project, There were two leading ladies in the script. But now the second girl's role has been scrapped, so that Angela gets full attention.
Angela would also be required to train in some serious martial arts since her part in Sher Khan is being described as a combination of Lara Croft and Fearless Nadia. Several elaborate action scenes are planned for the leading lady. She would be trained by a slew of international stunt-men. 

All this pampering for the debutante comes with a price. Angela who has so far been in the news for her various link-ups (imaginary or otherwise) had been asked to `disappear` from public attention. 

The girl is virtually under house curfew!

Says the source, Late nights, media events, awards functions, public performances, showroom inaugurations...have all been banned for now. Angela has been asked to avoid public attention as much as possible. Salman wants her to be unveiled to the public as a complete newcomer in Sher Khan.
Says the Sher Khan director Sohail Khan, Now there's only one girl in Sher Khan. The second role didn't shape up well enough. So we removed it from the script.

Salman 'Sher' Khan roars back to life with Angela Jonsson

Salman Khan's longstanding film with brother Sohail finally to go on the floors 

Sohail Khan's project Sher Khan starring Salman was supposed to go on the floors even before Dabangg 2. However, thanks to Sallu's ill-health and the pre-production work, the film got delayed. Finally, news is that the makers are gearing up to start work again.
Our source says, Sohail will lock the cast by next month. He will start work soon. Ranbir's alleged former flame Angela Jonsson is said to be acting opposite Salman in the film. 

Salman says, Sohail's film has turned out well. Dabangg 2 will be over in the next three to four months and it will release this Christmas. Sohail's film will release on Eid next year.

With Katrina out of game, Angela Johnson is back with Salman

It’s going to be Angela after all. The lovely model-actress has been in search of a launch-pad in Bollywood for a very long time. In the process she got embroiled in a series of link-ups that did no service to her career as a movie actress. 

In fact she all but lost the chance to be launched opposite Salman Khan in Sher Khan because of her frequent forays into Page 3. 

But all is not lost. Now we hear Angela is back in Sher Khan, specially on Salman Khan’s recommendation. 

Says a source, “Other options were explored. But nothing came of it. Actually Salman’s range of heroines is shrinking. He won’t work with Priyanka Chopra. Katrina and Salman have mutually decided not to sign any films together after Ek Tha Tiger. 
Deepika and Salman are somehow never working out together. As for Sonakshi he’s wrapping up Dabangg 2 with her and shortly goes into Shirish Kunder’s Kick with her.

It’s time to find new co-stars. Angela who is already signed with Salman’s home production, fits the role in Sher Khan perfectly. ”

Apparently the female protagonist in Sher Khan has to “very feminine and yet very athletic”. 

Angela must not only romance Salman but also perform stunts with him. The film is expected to be shot in the mountains and the jungles. 

“Angela has spent her childhood years exploring the mountainous outdoors of Kodaikanal where she grew up. She’s got what it takes, ” says our source. 

While an official announcement is yet to be made –and Angela is making sure she doesn’t put her foot in her mouth this time—Sohail Khan after much prodding did say, “Angela has been signed by Sohail Khan Productions. ”
