Govinda's daughter not getting any Films

Narmada Ahuja, Daughter of Govinda was always the talk of Bollywood for a Proper Debut. Some sources also said that Govinda desperately wanted her daughter to debut opposite Superstar Salman Khan. But our Sallu knows to aim proper shots.

Recently Govinda unveiled Bright Awards and said "Whenever anything is announced, I will let you know, we should not talk about it now. It is not like she has not been offered any films. In fact, she has refused 20-22 films. In our days, We used to grab any opportunity we got. But she is waiting for what she wants and once she does I will let you know. "

Somehow Govinda the (Once) star and a Father also tried and changed the Topic by talking about the Bright Awards "I feel respect is good, be it in the form of awards or rewards. Sometimes you are famous, sometimes you earn more. Whichever way you get it, it is good and to keep getting respect is important. Whatever you get, accept it. "

All we can hope is daughter Narmada sees a proper debut like Sonakshi Sinha and make papa Govinda feel proud for her.

Govinda turns down offer to judge a reality show

Apparently, the actor wanted a higher fee for the show makers

Staying true to the title of his 2008 release, Govinda apparently rejected an offer to judge a reality show, as the money offered to him was not enough. Sources say that the actor, who is known for his trademark dance style, was approached to be the judge alongside Bollywood director Sajid Khan.

A source from the production house says, Govinda has been missing in action for a long time now. This dance reality show would have been apt for him as he is a good dancer.

However, the actor apparently asked for a fat fee, which turned off the show makers. The source adds, `The show is about to be launched at end of this month.

Naturally we are in a hurry to finalise the judges. But at the same time, we have to think about the money bit. The makers are also keen to have Farah Khan on board. Govinda denies the buzz and states, Not true! I have not been approached for such a show.

Movie Review: Delhi Safari is strongly recommended

Directed By: Nikhil Advani

Voice Over: Akshaye Khanna, Urmila Matondkar, Govinda and Boman Irani

Rating: * * *

Till date we have witnessed Film maker's making animated feature film with big star's voices on the cartoon character's only in Hollywood. Even here, Jugal Hansraj tried to make an animated feature film called 'Roadside Romeo'. He used voices of saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the film. But that film turned out to be a disaster.

But Nikhil Advani brings a totally different animated feature film called Delhi Safari. the film has a unique and bold message attached to it. It is made with meaningful intentions.

Delhi Safari is about Save Animal Save Forest and So Save the Humanity. The Director Nikhil Advani has given his best attempt to make the child film a worth watch for every age group. The message is very simple "Don't just keep on yelling, Do it".

The film is about 5 Animals. A Bear, A tigress and her son, A monkey and A parrot who decides to fight for their rights. They wanted no disturbance and trouble from human society, no hunting, no tree cutting and destroying forest.

So to convey their voice to humans, They try to take on with the Human System with the support of Alex (Parrot). Alex tells them that our country has a Parliament in Delhi where Ministers solves everyone's problem.

Therefore they decide to go for an unusual journey to parliament and approach Ministers to solve their problem.

The dialogues of the film are just brilliant and meaningful. There are also lots of laughter moments in the film. The screenplay is very strong and tight.

Director Nikhil Advani has developed the story very interestingly. Hats off to the director who could have chose to not-to make an animated film in the world where 'Stars' rule. But yet he went ahead with this unique idea.

After you leave the auditorium, The film will definitely grow on you. Very strongly recommended for every age. These are the films that really needs word of mouth.

Late Night Herbal Oil Ads: Govinda tells he was unaware of laws

Almost a month after FDA issued show cause notices to several Bollywood actors for misleading viewers on TV, actor who stars in advertisements claimed he was unaware of the laws

Last month, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had filed 67 complaints at police stations across the state under various sections of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable advertisements) Act, 1955. These include complaints against advertisements of products such as 'Sandhi Sudha plus', 'Step up herbal oil' and 'Power Prash', which are promoted by leading Bollywood stars.

The FDA had lodged complaints, demanding action against the drug manufacturers, scriptwriters and actors who promote the products, as well as television channels on which they are aired.

Hence, among other Bollywood stars, actor Govinda who has been promoting herbal oil on national television was also issued a show cause notice where FDA had claimed that the actor was promoting the misleading product to the common man.

Promoting such drugs is a complete violation of the law. These advertisements are completely misleading and companies end up extracting huge amounts from unsuspecting people who see the ads.

Hence, we had written to Bollywood stars telling them not to violate the law. We have recently received a reply from Govinda, who claimed his innocence as he was unaware of the law,  said a source from FDA.

D R Gahane, assistant commissioner (drugs), confirming the same said, We have received a letter from Govinda stating he was unaware of the law and he has assured us that he will speak to the manufacturer to withdraw the ad.
FDA officials added that violation of the act could result in six months imprisonment, a fine or both, for the first conviction. Subsequent convictions would lead to imprisonment for a year or fine or both. We have recently booked many others under objectionable advertisements Act, 1955

When asked about the show cause notice issued by FDA, Govinda in an SMS to MiD DAY said, You don't have to be a scientist to do a toothpaste ad. As an actor, I did my job.

Drug and Remedies Act
The Act aims to control false advertisement of drugs (including those that claim that their drugs have magic qualities). It states that unless prescribed by a registered medical practitioner, no person or company shall take part in publication of an advertisement referring to any drug that is used for:

1) Procurement of miscarriage in women or prevention of conception.
2) Maintenance or improvement of the capacity for sexual pleasures
3) Correction of menstrual disorder in women
4) Diagnosis, mitigation, cure or prevention of any disease specified in the act.

Chi Chi wants Kajal Agarwal!

Ever since the release of his last hit Partner with Salman Khan, Govinda’s career has been going downhill.

Buzz is that to revive his acting career, Govinda has decided to kick start his ailing production house and is hunting for a heroine. Our sources say that Govinda has set his eyes on Kajal Agarwal of Singham fame.

The source says, “Govinda has been planning a film called Dhurandar for a while now. He was on the look out for a suitable director for the film. His search ended with Rajnish Raj Thakur, who last directed Suniel Shetty.”

I can never have a fall-out with Chi Chi

While sources indicate that a fall-out with Govinda could be the reason why Aarya Babbar opted out of Pahlaj Nihalani’s film, the actor denies it

After wrapping up his upcoming film with director Vishal Bhardwaj, word is that Aarya Babbar has walked out of his next helmed by Pahlaj Nihalani. Sources state the reason behind this could be some simmering tension between the actor and his co-star Govinda.

Sources add that Aarya’s manager was not keen he take on a project, for which he was not charging a single penny.

Aarya denies having any problem with Chi Chi. But our source tells us, “Aarya’s manager thought he shouldn’t do Pahlaj’s film. It would not be a wise career step to do a film for free after finishing a project with Vishal.”

Aarya however says that after a no-show on the sets for five days, he informed the director (Pahlaj) to contact him only after the details of his role have been finalised.

The actor states, “I was shooting for Bharadwaj’s next when Psahlaj ji approached me. I agreed, as he is a family friend. I took care of my look and my clothes, so that there would be no burden on him.”

However, the actor rues that even after rescheduling his solo Punjabi project to give the director his dates, no shoot took place. He adds, “I can never have a fall-out with Chi Chi bhaiyya and I still hold high regards for Pahlaj ji.”

Govinda takes credit for Sonakshi's weight loss

Govinda takes credit for Sonakshi's weight lossWhile Sonakshi has been giving Salman credit for her weight loss, Govinda says even he deserves mention...

It's all in good humour. Sonakshi Sinha was known to be obese before she became an actress, and the tale is that it's Salman Khan who convinced her that she would be actress material if she lost all that weight. And lose she did.

However, actor Govinda says that he had told Sonakshi a long time ago, probably even before Salman, to pull down weight and if she did that she was on her way to success. It can be remembered that even Govinda's daughter Narmada Ahuja is keen to become an actor.

Govinda doesn't compare his beti with Sonakshi. "Each makes their own way, I'm happy for Sonakshi and her success. At the same time it's absolutely ok that it's taking time for Narmada. Things will happen when they have to," he said nonchalantly.

Govinda & Yuvika Chaudhary starrer Naughty@40 will be released on 15 April

Govinda-starrer Bollywood movie Naught@40 will be released April 15, the Delhi High Court ruled Thursday, allowing the screening of the film which had been held up due to a monetary dispute between the producers. "The defendant Anuj Sharma (producer) is allowed to release his film on April 15," Justice V.K. Jain said.

The film's release was delayed as co-producer Sandeep Kapoor fell out with Sharma and approached the court in 2009 seeking recovery of a loan of Rs.1.32 crore which he had allegedly advanced to Sharma. The court allowed Sharma to go ahead with the film's release after his lawyer deposited a demand draft of Rs.1 crore with the court registry.

However, the court declined Kapoor's plea to release the amount to him. "The question of release of money to the petitioner (Kapoor) would be decided after the entire amount (Rs.1.32 crore) is deposited with the court," Justice Jain said.

The court also asked Sharma to pay the remaining amount by April 6. Earlier in January, Govinda wanted the project to see the light of the day as it had been delayed for two years due to an extended shooting schedule and other production issues.

The film, which also stars Yuvika Chaudhry and Sayali Bhagat, is about a 40-year-old man (Govinda) who arrives from London to India to find a suitable match for himself. Directed by Jagmohan Mundhra, it was expected to release by mid-February, but was later postponed to March.

Govinda's daughter Narmada Ahuja first appearance in next year

Govinda's daughter Narmada Ahuja first appearance in next yearGovinda's daughter Narmada Ahuja, whose debut film has been delayed. The script has been finalised and the project will hit the production stage early next year. "The status of that project is we have finalised the script. Everything is done and we are now working on it. Most probably the first schedule of the film will go on the floor in January or maximum February," Narmada, 20, told IANS.

The daughter of Bollywood's popular funny man Govinda, Narmada too will start her acting journey with a romantic comedy. "The film is a young, fresh romantic comedy. Even the production house is not new, but they are coming out with a film after a gap of a few years. That's what made me keen on doing this film. I already have another film lined up after this.

"I can't talk about the project because they will announce the film according to their own convenience. They'll do that probably at the end of this year," said the youngster who learnt the ropes of acting at the London Film Institute.

When asked about her co-actor in the film, Narmada said: "All I can say is that my co-star in the film is not a newcomer. I can't reveal any other detail."She says her father's suggestions helped her in making up her mind about her career.

"Every father gives tips to their kids before they start their profession. My father too gave me a couple of tips. The most important thing that he told me was that no matter what you do, do it with your full heart, give it your 500 percent, and do it only if you are passionate about it because it shows on camera if you are not really into your work.

"That's one thing that really made me focussed about my career and made me more professional about it," said Narmada. Since she will be working in a romantic comedy, does she have her father's comic timing?

"I really can't judge that right now because I have not started shooting. But you never know, I might come up with something like he does, once we start working on the film," said Narmada who enjoys her father's hits like "Deewana Mastana", "Swarg", "Hero No. 1" and "Partner". Narmada also defies the notion that star kids get things easily in Hindi filmdom.

"I don't think it's easy for us to enter the industry. At least it was not easy for me because I myself didn't want to get into the industry without any preparation. Once you know that you are well groomed and you're sure you can deliver, then only you should go for it. That grooming part is not very easy," said the upcoming actress.
