Sajid guarantees ticket crunch for Himmatwala

Director Sajid Khan, who is remaking the 1983-hit "Himmatwala", guarantees that it will not be easy to get tickets for the film in the initial three days of its release.

"We will talk about 'Himmatwala' in the press conference of 'Himmatwala.' But please watch 'Himmatwala', I guarantee you will not get tickets for the first three days," the 41-year-old said here Monday at the launch of the reality dance show "Nach Baliye 5".

Asked about his place as judge of a dance reality show, Sajid said, "We judges are not experts in judging. There are better people than us who are experts in judging."

"I feel that every person watching a reality show is an expert judge. I don't see myself as a big judge, but, yes, I do see myself as a representative of the audience," he added.
As many as 11 well-known couples from the TV industry have been brought together for the comeback season, to be judged by power trio - actress Shilpa Shetty, director Sajid Khan and ace choreographer Terence Lewis.

The show will be spiced up by hosts, Gautam Rode and Karan Wahi.

I am not in competition with Sajid: Farah Khan

They are both into filmmaking, but there's no room for rivalry between Sajid Khan and his sister Farah Khan.

Instead, choreographer-turned-director Farah, who often directs dance sequences for Sajid, says their work gives them a chance to spend quality time together.

"When I go to choreograph for him, I feel I get to spend some more time with my brother because now I am busy with my children while Sajid has his own life," Farah said here Monday at the launch of TV show "Veera".

"So, at least when we work together, we spend quality time with each other. I don't think there is any competitiveness where Sajid is concerned," Farah said.

Farah has directed films like "Om Shanti Om" and "Main Hoon Na" while Sajid is credited for entertainers like "Heyy Babyy", "Housefull" and "Housefull 2".

Farah says they share mutual admiration for each other's work, and Sajid even stands up for her whenever someone attacks her films.

"What is nice is that we both are film buffs since childhood. We have grown up watching films.

"So now, when Sajid makes a film, it's important for me as it's my own and vice-versa. I know when my film comes, Sajid gets ready to fight with the people who say even one (negative) word about my movie," said the 47-year-old.

"Now he has a choreographer free of cost for all his films!" Farah said. "On every Rakhi, he takes the dates from me, instead of giving something."

Farah's next directorial venture is expected to be "Happy New Year" while Sajid has started shooting for "Himmatwala" remake.

Wedding Bells? Sajid Khan meets Jacqueline's parents

Sajid Khan reportedly had a cosy dinner with 'ladylove' Jacqueline Fernandez and her parents

Could Sajid Khan and his flame Jacqueline Fernandez be getting ready to take their relationship to the next level? Sources spotted the filmmaker being a part of an intimate dinner with Jackie and her parents.

While the couple has hardly been able to spend time with each other, thanks to their extremely busy professional lives, the couple has now apparently decided to take a long vacation. The holiday will take place once Sajid wraps up his upcoming film with Ajay Devgn.

A source close to the couple says, It had been over two months since Sajid and Jackie had last met. She was away for a long shooting schedule for Abbas-Mustan's upcoming thriller and Sajid was stationed in Ramoji Rao studios. Finally when they both were free, they decided to catch up.
Incidentally, Jackie's parents were in town and the four of them met up at a Chinese restaurant in Bandra Kurla Complex. Our source adds, It clearly means that her parents have given the stamp of approval to the couple and are happy about their relationship.

Sajid was apparently extremely comfortable in the company of Jackie's parents and sources say the relationship looks to be going strong. So do we hear wedding bells soon?

The source states, Marriage is not on their minds right now. Jackie is doing extremely well in her career and so is Sajid. They both want to settle down only after giving enough time to their careers.` The couple is said to go for their holiday towards the end of this year.

Himmatwala mahurat live on Youtube is no publicity stunt

Showing the mahurat shot of "Himmatwala" live on YouTube is not a publicity stunt, says director Sajid Khan and adds that he is just trying to involve his audiences.

"Yes, we will be screening it live on You Tube, but this is not an event. It's a mahurat ceremony which will be shown live to the audience," Khan told.

The mahurat will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

When asked whether stars are invited, Khan said: "It's not a party. There are no guests or anything."

"I make my films for my audience. I have always maintained this through all my films. I want them to feel involved in the film right from the first shot," he added.

An official remake of Jeetendra-Sridevi starrer 1980 hit film "Himmatwala", Khan's version features Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah in the lead role and Paresh Rawal, Prakash Raj and Adhyayan Suman will also feature in it.

It is scheduled for a release next year.

"I don't need to promote the film from now on. But yes, I will be interacting with my audience throughout the making of the film," said the director of hits like "Housefull" and "Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen".

Judwaa sequel dropped?

Sajid Khan bows out of Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Judwaa 2' but plans to work with him again in 'Housefull 3'

Sajid Nadiadwala and Sajid Khan have amicably decided not to do the sequel of Judwaa 2 together. Apparently, because the script did not impress both director and producer.

As a result, Sajid Khan has bowed out of the project. However, the two close friends will work together again in Housefull 3, post which the remake of Judwaa will go on the floor.

Meanwhile, Nadiadwala who is co-writing the script will re-work on it. While Khan will now concentrate on the remake of Himmatwala. Apparently, now Nadiadwala is hunting for another director for the project.
A source informs, Judwaa 2 was expected to start mid-next year. However, now they have scrapped the script. Both Nadiadwala and Khan were of the opinion that after making three blockbusters back-to-back, they did not wish to compromise on the script.

Sajid Khan meanwhile is working on Himmatwala and after that will be doing Houseful 3. Nadiadwala now wants a fresh idea for the film.`

Sajid Khan says, Yes, I am not doing Judwaa 2. Sajid and I are like brothers and we decided that I would not be directing this film. No film for us is more important than our friendship and I will be making Houseful 3 with him in the near future.

Sajid Nadiadwala says, I was writing the film and I feel it will take me a lot of time to finish the script. I want the script to be at least at par with the original Judwaa. I have too much on my plate right now and I do not wish to let the quality of my film suffer due to the quantity.

Sajid denies asking for Sherlyn's nude Playboy photographs

Filmmaker alleges someone has hacked his e-mail account and sent a message to Sherlyn Chopra to revert with her nude Playboy photographs

Looks like cyber criminals will never get tired of targeting industrywallas. In the latest case of celebrity e-mail accounts being hacked, filmmaker Sajid Khan is the latest victim.

The director has apparently filed a complaint with the cyber cell department for embarrassment caused due to some racy e-mails sent from his account. The e-mail in question was sent to starlet Sherlyn Chopra, asking her to revert with the nude pictures she recently shot for the Playboy magazine.
Sajid says, “In the first week of May, I could not open my email account sajudkaju@yahoo.co.in and it said that the password had been changed. I did not pay much attention to it and created another account on hotmail.”

All hell then broke lose as the director started getting messages from women from the industry that a request was being made to them to revert with their sexy photographs.

Sajid says, “I went and filed a complaint in June. I was asked to stay quiet about it while the cops tried to nab the culprit. Now, Sherlyn has got an e-mail.” Sajid also rues that a social networking site has an imposter posing as him and that he has been alerted about it recently.

My 'Himmatwala' will cross Rs.100 crore in first week: Sajid Khan

Filmmaker Sajid Khan is sure his film "Himmatwala", based on the 1983 movie of the same name, will cross Rs.100 crore within its first week itself. He says he can never make a flop film.

"I can't say I am a great director but I am the greatest audience, since childhood I have done nothing other than watching films. Cinema is my life.

I can never make a flop film because I make film for audience and not for myself," Sajid said during the sound recording of "Himmatwala" here.

Sajid, who has earlier directed "Heyy Babyy", "Housefull" and "Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen", added: "I will never let down the audience. I have proved that three times. Now I will do that again. My film 'Himmatwala' will cross Rs.100 crore in first week."

Actor Ajay Devgn, who plays the lead in the movie, is impressed with Sajid's positive attitude.

"I like that attitude. It is a kind of confidence which you should have and he has. He is sure of what he is doing. After I heard the script, I agreed with him and it will be a fabulous film," Ajay said.

The movie is an adaptation of the 1983 movie, which featured Jeetendra and Sridevi.
