Ekta and I make a strong brother-sister jodi

On the Hindu festival of Raksha Bandhan Tuesday, actor Tusshar Kapoor says he makes a strong brother-sister pair with his elder sibling Ekta, a successful producer of films and TV shows.

"It's been 36 years that I am getting a rakhi tied by Ekta. Every year we do the same thing. Since our childhood, even if we are not together on Raksha Bandhan, we celebrate the festival. She sends a rakhi to me wherever I am, and we talk over the phone," the actor told reporters here.

"I think our brother-sister jodi in the industry is very strong," he added.

Ekta and Tusshar are children of veteran actor Jeetendra and producer Shobha Kapoor. Ekta has produced films like "Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai", "Kyaa Kool Hai Hum", "Shor In The City" and "The Dirty Picture", which starred her younger brother.

Tusshar's amusing experiences while dubbing for Shootout At Wadala

To get his dubbing spot on, Tusshar Kapoor was recently made to undergo some intense physical grind by his director

Marlon Brando stuffed toilet papers in his mouth to sound like the intimidating mafia head in Godfather. Thankfully, Tusshar Kapoor didn't have to go to that extent but the actor had some amusing experiences while dubbing for Sanjay Gupta's upcoming gangster drama.

On the day of dubbing for the film that explores the city's underworld, Tusshar was in for a surprise. Sanjay apparently wanted the dubbing to be like the pilot shoot itself.

In a particular scene of the movie, the actor is doing push-ups and arguing at the same time. Accordingly, while dubbing for the same was being carried out, he was made to do push-ups while mouthing the dialogues!

A source from the studio says, Interestingly, Tusshar wasn't even aware of what he was going to do because he thought the voice will match without much effort. In the end, he did exactly the same thing that he did in the film to get that different feel in his voice.

Tusshar tells us. I found it very funny in the beginning to actually be doing the same things that I did while shooting that high-octane sequences. I was also made to gulp down bread slices to bring out the desired sound effect.

Tusshar Kapoor's unique way to stay awake

Actor played Bollywood word games with the cast and crew till late night on the sets of his upcoming gangster film to remain awake

On the sets of his upcoming film with Sanjay Gupta, Tusshar Kapoor came up with an ingenious way to overcome his lack of sleep.

As the entire cast and crew were shooting from midnight to early morning, everyone was looking for a way out from falling asleep on their jobs! A source, who was present on the sets, says, Normally the first shot would take place around midnight and then go on till 6 am. It was natural that we felt very sleepy.

It was then that Tusshar came up with the idea of playing word games. And apparently the games got so interesting that several members would keep on playing despite being required to go to the sets.

It was a good stress buster for all of us and later, even Sanjay and fight director Tinnu Verma could not resist playing it, adds our source. The source also adds that it was Gupta who mostly ended up winning all the rounds.

Tusshar says, The game constituted of mostly names of films and Sanjay knew almost every title! It was a bit childish to indulge in the game but it did the job of keeping everyone up.

Tusshar does action scenes on top of a goods train

Tusshar Kapoor shot for some complicated action stunts for his next film Shootout at Wadala

Ever since his gruesome injury on the sets of Sanjay Gupta's upcoming gangster film, Tusshar Kapoor had shied away from doing complicated action stunts.

However, sources say that the actor has now done another stunt for the film that required him to jump from one moving train compartment to another.

Our source present at the scene says, It was a jail escape scene where John Abraham and Tusshar Kapoor are being chased. The sequence was shot around a week back at Neera (Near Pune) on top of a goods train. John had earlier done similar sequences for Force.

But for Tusshar, it was for the first time that he had tried something like this. He managed to do it convincingly.

Tusshar tells us, It was a nice experience getting on top of a moving train and jumping from one bogey to another. I would have never done it but for Sanjay and action director Tinu Verma's assurances.

Action is challenging: Tusshar Kapoor

Actor Tusshar Kapoor, who has mostly dabbled in comedy films, including the popular "Golmaal" series, believes that a shift to action with "Shootout at Wadala" is a big challenge for him.

"I have not done too much action, so 'Shootout At Wadala' will be another big challenge for me and it will be interesting for me to see how the audiences accept me in that role, " the 36-year-old said here in an interview.

Tusshar is known for playing a mute character in the "Golmaal" series. But he considers an action-based role to be tougher.

"More than playing a mute character, I think doing an out-and-out action-oriented role is a bigger change from what I have done, and a shocker for the audiences, " he added.

However, Tusshar is open to diverse roles and something even akin to "Barfi!".

"It depends on the kind of offers that I get. Let's see, I can't predict the future, so I hope I get challenging roles like 'Golmaal', like 'Barfi!' and get to play such diverse characters, " Tusshar said.

Being directed by Sanjay Gupta, "Shootout at Wadala" is slated to release in May 2013.
