Yuvraaj Parashar goes bold in a daring photo shoot

Yuvraaj Parashar who featured in Dunno Y...Na Jaane Kyun had to do a bare body photo shoot for his upcoming film 

He says, It's a European film and makers were looking for an Indian face with a well toned physique. 

After seven screen test via Skype and going through my latest pictures, I was finalised. He had to do an elaborate lovemaking scene in the film as well. 
I am an actor and being a professional, I don't mind doing it for a role.

Editing SOS hasn't hampered creativity: Ajay Devgn


Ajay Devgn has made a few changes in forthcoming film "Son Of Sardaar" (SOS), after the Punjabi Cultural Heritage Board raised objections over certain scenes and dialogues. However, the actor-producer is confident the changes haven't hampered the creativity in the movie.

"The creativity of the film has not been affected in any way. Every film is rectified, sometimes it's made even better, " he said at a press conference here Wednesday.

The actor said they were in talks with PCHB president Charan Singh Sapra ever since the promos of the film went on air.

"The objectionable things were very small. The writer and director of the film is Punjabi and we took care of things. Even the guy who tied my turban was from Punjab, " Ajay said.

The actor added that the intention of the film is to entertain and not to hurt anyone's sentiments.

"Son of Sardaar" will release alongside Yash Chopra's "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" and the actor feels that the clash will not affect performance of either film.

"Diwali always has space for two movies. I want both films to work. I don't think there is any issue with that, " he said.

Dia Mirza wants to celebrate Diwali with her boyfriend

Dia Mirza's artistic skills are known. This Diwali, the actor-producer has exclusively painted a piece of art to help raise funds for a cause.

The funds raised from her painting, 'Gift Of Life', will be given to Shakti Vahini, a human rights NGO.

"This is the first commissioned painting that I made. I always paint because this is something I enjoy doing since my childhood, " Dia told.

"I find it extremely relaxing, it is wonderful to paint because it is a kind of meditation as you spend time with yourself and your thoughts, " she added.

The actress was here to launch the festive collection of cosmetic retail brand The Body Shop, which will place the painting at its outlet at Select Citywalk mall in south Delhi for 10 days.

The painting will be gifted to the person who spends the maximum at The Body Shop store. The amount will be donated to Shakti Vahini.

Dia said she inherited the talent from her father.

"My childhood was spent watching canvases and paints. I have been exposed to a lot of art from childhood. I have grown up crawling around clays, " she said.

How will she spend Diwali?

"I am terribly confused. I want to spend Diwali in Delhi because Sahil's family is here, " said Dia, who has been dating director Sahil Sangha for a year.

Kamal Haasan's plans altered by Sandy's desi cousin Nalini


Kamal Haasan's lofty plans have fallen prey to Sandy's desi cousin Hurricane Neelam which has stuck the Southern coastal regions.

Plans of a simultaneous 3-city music release for his new film Vishwaroop on November 7 (Kamal Haasan's birthday)have been seriously altered.

While earlier the event was supposed to unfold in huge open-air theatres simultaneously in Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai those plans have now been drastically revised.

Informs Kamal Haasan, Nalini has restricted our plans severely. Because of her we can't have the music launch in open-air stadiums, as planned. That would mean a very wet and soggy attendance. We'd now have to have the music function in covered areas. The attendance would have to be serious scaled down from the original 15, 000 people at each venue.

Quips Kamal Haasan, Nalini is such a spoilsport. Such is life man proposes, woman disposes.

Vikram Bhatt throws a spooky party for 1920 Evil Returns team


Director-producer and screenwriter Vikram Bhatt, with a huge line of horror blockbusters, right from Raaz, 1920 to Haunted and the recent Raaz 3, has established himself the face of Indian horror Cinema. The director recently threw a Halloween party for the cast and crew of his latest releasing film 1920 Evil Returns.

Vikram Bhatt wanted to throw a bash for the team of 1920 Evil Returns along with their friends and family and thought Halloween would be the ideal occasion since he has always been associated with the horror-thriller genre.

The entire party was customized with the look of the film keeping in sync with the theme of the hit franchise. The party took place in a well known Lounge in suburbs.

This time Vikram Bhatt dons the cap of a Producer and Writer for the film which is directed by Bhushan Patel. The film also marks the comeback presence of Aftab Shivdasani after a long time gap.

Sikh Community Endorses 'Son Of Sardaar


A few months back, there had been news that members of the Sikh community were miffed with the way Sikhs were portrayed in the promos of upcoming film 'Son Of Sardaar' and were demanding that some changes be made to the story.

In order to clear all misunderstandings, actor-producer Ajay Devgn recently organised a screening of the film for members of the Punjabi Cultural Heritage and it seems that the community is now happy following some suggestions that were considered.

Confirming the news, Devgn said, "We are making this movie for the purpose of entertainment and not to hurt the sentiments of any community. When we were told that the Sikh community found some scenes objectionable, we decided to consider their point of view.

After incorporating their feedback and explaining our point of view, we showed the film to the community members and they are happy with it."

Charan Singh Sapra, the President of Punjabi Cultural Heritage Board also lauded Devgn for taking the necessary steps and said that the community is happy with the way the film has turned out.

Starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Juhi Chawla, 'Son of Sardaar', an action-comedy about two warring Punjabi families, is slated to release on November 13 this year.
