A few months back, there had been news that members of the Sikh community were miffed with the way Sikhs were portrayed in the promos of upcoming film 'Son Of Sardaar' and were demanding that some changes be made to the story.
In order to clear all misunderstandings, actor-producer Ajay Devgn recently organised a screening of the film for members of the Punjabi Cultural Heritage and it seems that the community is now happy following some suggestions that were considered.
Confirming the news, Devgn said, "We are making this movie for the purpose of entertainment and not to hurt the sentiments of any community. When we were told that the Sikh community found some scenes objectionable, we decided to consider their point of view.
After incorporating their feedback and explaining our point of view, we showed the film to the community members and they are happy with it."
Charan Singh Sapra, the President of Punjabi Cultural Heritage Board also lauded Devgn for taking the necessary steps and said that the community is happy with the way the film has turned out.
Starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Juhi Chawla, 'Son of Sardaar', an action-comedy about two warring Punjabi families, is slated to release on November 13 this year.
