Sunny Leone: Too much Sex can be a Bad Thing

It was her big ticket to Bollywood -- but Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone says she would never go back to the "Bigg Boss" house.

Sunny told: "I would never go back to the house again... it is insane, it is crazy. But what it did for me is it opened the doors, opened a new world - something that I had never imagined."

The actress is foraying into Bollywood with "Jism 2", which was offered to her by Mahesh Bhatt while she was in the "Big Boss" house.

"Bhatt saab came in the house and talked about doing a movie, this idea never crossed my mind. I thought I will exit the house and never come back to India... but complete opposite thing happened, " she added.
Sunny says the reality shows in West are completely different from what we see in India.

"If you compare the reality shows here to there (US), here those who come on the show become very popular and achieve huge success. In America, if you do a reality show, they don't care. They don't identify people when they walk on streets, but here it does happen like that, " explained the 31-year-old.

Too Much Sex Can Be a Bad Thing

Seductively winking her eye next to the caption "Too Much Sex Can Be a Bad Thing. Sterilise Your Dogs and Cats", Indo-Canadian Jism 2 and adult entertainment star Sunny Leone stars in a brand-new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India.

Leone - who was named 2003 Penthouse Pet of the Year - wants her legions of adoring fans to know that the only way to fight the worldwide homeless-cat and -dog crisis is always to have companion animals sterilised.

The stunning ad was shot by leading photographer Gaurav Sawn, and Leone's hair and make-up were done by Ayesha Wadiwala.
In an exclusive interview for PETA, Leone says, "I believe in not buying - and adopting. And it's because there's so many dogs out there that need a home, that were left on the streets. They just need that love, and if you can rescue an animal, then that's one of the greatest gifts you can give.`

She further explains, "I believe that every single dog should be spayed and neutered. You don't want to continue the cycle of homeless dogs or cats. And spaying and neutering also keeps them healthy. It prevents them from having different diseases that they can get if they are not."

People liked me without skin show: Yami Gautam

'Vicky Donor' actress on taking time to sign her next Bollywood film and enjoying her single status

Post her Bollywood debut in Vicky Donor, Yami Gautam is taking things rather slow for a while. In fact, the actress says that since her first Hindi film proved to be a runaway success at the box office, she can afford to be a bit choosey with her future projects. Buzz is that she in Vipul Shah's next but the actress refuses to reveal any detail.

Yami says, I do have a couple of good offers but I am under no pressure to choose one right away. After all, my debut film was a hit! When I sign my next, I am sure my director will announce the news.

The actress' former co-star Ayushmann Khurrana has already gone on to sign more films. Does the fact that she is yet to sign the dotted lines bother her?

Pat comes the reply, I don't want to sound pompous, but honestly I find it funny being compared to another actor. I felt happy when someone wrote I did a good job doing my role in Vicky Donor. There was no skin show involved, yet people liked my work.
So how has life changed after her debut film? Yami says, `I am still the same girl. I am grounded. My head is on my shoulders and I like to be with my family. They are proud of my work. My parents are really supportive and they are more contemporary than I am.`

Vicky Donor made her a household name. So has fame brought her male attention as well?

Yami states, I am single but it's nice to have a lot of male fans. But I am in no mood to mingle. I enjoy being single and am concentrating on my work right now. I wouldn't get into a relationship just for the heck of it.

We Indians don't need superheroes who wear underwear outside: Salman

Salman Khan jamming with kids of The Dharavi Project talks about love and being almost a superhero

Spiderman, Batman, Salman?
`It is a nice thought, but I hope this doesn't make me into a caricature. We don't need a mosquito to bite us or wear our underwear outside, we Indians don't need superheroes. In our culture, no one wants to see failure.

Kids are crazy about my films because I'm now doing films that I would see in my childhood. If I'm enjoying it then I'm sure kids will also be enjoying it.`

A child at heart
I should have got Sajid-Wajid with me, they would have played for these kids and things would have gone to a new level altogether, but their father is not keeping well so they could not make it. I'm hoping I can use the talent of these kids at some gig in the future.
Bhai talk
When I was promoting Tere Naam, I was telling people to see the film but never to follow the role. The character is a loser. A girl leaves him and he keeps on crying... move on, there are other girls. I don't take terms like bhai too seriously.

If you start thinking about it, it doesn't look natural. I say go with the flow. Abhi achcha time hai, but the worst thing about good time is also that it doesn't last forever (laughs). Actually I have had quite a long run.

My husband liked my hot Desi look in item number: Chitrangada

Chitrangada Singh, a powerful performer, is lured by item song - she will be seen jiving to "Kafirana" in forthcoming film "Joker". The best thing is that her ethnic look in the song has been appreciated by her husband, golfer Jyoti Randhawa.

"He really liked it. He said I really look good in that whole ethnic, rustic look," she said, adding that she doesn't "really discuss my career with him".

After having done off-beat films like "Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi", "Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow", "Yeh Saali Zindagi" and full on commercial drama "Desi Boyz", it was a risky job for the actress to endorse an item number, but she says it was worth it.

"One thing I want to clarify is that I neither want to change my image nor I am trying to fit in anything...I was trying to do something out of the box. It's a chance that you take, it's a risk. Sometimes you fall flat on your face. Sometimes you don't. But I think it's worth taking the risk. I had a good time doing it," she said.

Directed by Shirish Kunder, "Joker" features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha and is coming out Aug 31.
Original version of "Kafirana" became controversial because of the words - "I want 'fakht' you" (fakht means 'just you' in Marathi), but later it was changed to avoid controversy, says Chitrangada.

"When we shot, the clothes that I was wearing were also very Marathi. In the song some lines were in Marathi, there was 'fakht' in it," the 36-year-old explained.

She feels that adult content in songs is not a new thing and added:" 'DK Bose' came up. Not that we don't listen to these songs... there were lot of Marathi lines in it, it has Marathi background. I was told the meaning of the word, so I thought that's fine. Had it been a Punjabi song, you couldn't take away anything because that's the quality of that language."

When asked if she is open to do more item numbers, she said: "I don't mind some song and fun, but there will always be a mix. I really think song and dance are very important. Hindi films always had it and we Indians enjoy that. So if there is one song which is extra special, shot really well and if the girl is hot, it becomes an extra bit in the film."

I wouldn't use such a derogatory term for Naseeruddin Shah

Randeep Hooda talks about his long perceived attitude problem, Naseeruddin Shah and his greed for good work

More than a decade ago, Randeep Hooda made his debut in Monsoon Wedding. He shared screen space with Naseeruddin Shah in the very first shot of his film career.

Since then, the two have been associated with each other thanks to their collective interest in theatre. Presently, they are working together in their third film (their second film never got completed).

Needless to mention, Randeep is thrilled to be back with his guide. In a tete-a-tete, the 35-year-old actor refused to comment on his personal life but sets the record straight on a lot of other stuff.

Would you call Naseer your godfather in the industry?
Nope. I wouldn't use such a 'derogatory' term for him.

So what does he mean to you?
Well, he's my mentor, friend and confidant. He's an inspiration and somebody who has helped nurtured me as an actor not necessarily my career but my craft. He's also the one who opened my eyes to the world of acting.
Speaking of acting, do you think you've arrived?
In terms of my acting, yes, I'm definitely having my best phase ever. But I wouldn't like to rest on the laurels as of now. I've got bigger dreams.

Then, what was your worst acting phase?
If you remember, that wasn't very long ago. I was without any major work for more than two years! I was completely hopeless at that point of my career. And then I was even hesitant to play a negative role. Fortunately, filmmakers like Milan (Luthria) and Tigmanshu (Dhulia) walked along and showed faith in me.

Why did you agree for the cameo in Cocktail?
Homi (Adajania) is a friend and I guess I found something in that role. To me, it was unique so I don't have any regrets, whatsoever.

Do you consider yourself as a part of Bhatt camp now?
I'd rather not be part of any camp. I'm just greedy for good work. As long as the association is mutually beneficial, it's a win-win situation. At least, that's what I hope for.

Do you think you're a changed man now given the earlier reports that you had an attitude problem?
All I can say is I've changed the way I express. Earlier, people perceived me as an explosive Jat boy and had a calculated approach. As a result, most of the stories got blown out of proportion. Now, I'm a bit more careful.
You're quite active in horse riding. How do you manage the time for it?
If you love something dearly, you'll find the time for it. Anyhow. Besides, my horses are my solace from this mad, mad world of films.

Even though I have family and friends, I am lonely: Mumtaz

Mumtaz, the heartthrob of millions in the 1960s and 1970s, turns 65 Tuesday and says she has no complaints from life except for loneliness.

65 years of a celebrated life. How do you look back?
No complaints. Life can't be a bed of roses. My first 26 years was a time of hard work. I was an obedient child to my parents. Whatever I earned I gave to my parents. Never asked them where my money went. After I got married my husband has given me lots of comforts. I enjoy the life of affluence. But I am a bit lonely.

Why are you lonely?
My husband is traveling constantly. My children have grown up. My elder daughter is married to Fardeen Khan and lives inMumbai. My younger daughter is learning our family business from her father. She too is travelling a lot. What do I do? I can't follow them around the world, can I?

But surely you have your own life?
I do. But I don't socialize. I rarely drink. I am not a night person. Clubs are not my scene. I hate the noise. One can't converse. I am a daytime person. I go out for lunch with my friends, then stroll for a few hours.

London is a perfect city for an afternoon walk. Then I am back home. I watch educational television and the news so I'm aware of what's going on in the world. Then by 11 I am fast asleep. I wake up at 7 am.

Have you thought of relocating to Mumbai?
I have two homes in Mumbai, in Juhu and Colaba. And I do visit very often. But because of the life I have now I can't live in India. Even in Mumbai I'll be alone. Yes, there are friends and relatives there. But for me it's a case of water-water everyone and not a drop to drink.

Everybody loves me. But I can't make everybody my close friends. I don't make friends easily. At my age you can't forge new associations because you never know what the other person has in mind. Of course I can have as many fair-weather friends as I want. But that's pointless. Finally it's just me and myself.

That's really sad?
But it's my choice. I am not an outgoing sort. I like my own company. I can't complain. I keep myself occupied.
Have you kept in touch with your friends in the film industry? Shatrughan Sinha who's unwell?
Shatru, I haven't met for years. But I know I can drop in at his home any time and I'd be welcome. It's the same with Mr Yash Chopra. I know I'm loved and respected to this day. I can walk into any of my old colleagues' home. But I am a very shy person.

People mistake my shyness for arrogance. I can't barge into people's lives. But if anyone reaches out to me-like you-I respond. At parties I don't circulate. I sit in a corner for half an hour and then I leave.

What plans for your birthday?
My husband (entrepreneur Mayur Madhvani) has arranged a dinner on a boat for only family and friends. My family has already started gathering here in London. It's mostly family and just 4-5 friends of mine who have been with me for 30 years now.

No friends from Bollywood for your birthday?
Who will come from Mumbai to London for me? It costs money to travel so far. When money is involved no one thinks of the occasion. Kaun mere liye 1. 5 lakhs kharcha karega? Nowadays money is more important than anything else.

Even more important than relationships?
Yes, you are judged not for what you are, but how much money you have and what position you have in society. If you don't have money and a social standing no one looks towards you. If you're a nobody you aren't even invited to any happening party.

That's why I'd implore all youngsters to make something of their lives. Kuch karo kuch bano. I am still remembered back home because ek zamaane mein main Mumtaz tthi.

In that case if you were not Mumtaz, Mayur Madhvani wouldn't have married you?
I don't think he would have... no!

What about love?
Aaj kal pyar hota kahan hai? You tell me. Do you think genuine love exists in today's day and age? You're younger than me. You tell me.
What about the love between a parent and a child?
Only the love between a mother and a child is unconditional.

That's too cynical.
It's a fact. You look at marriages all over the world. Who looks after the child? The mother, no? My husband is a good father. But I've friends who have brought up their children alone.

I've the highest regard for the mother. In my own case my parents divorced very young. My mother took both me and my sister Malka when she left my father. My father said he wouldn't give her any money. He gave her both the daughters instead.

So your father was around?
Of course. People believed I was fatherless because Devyani Chaubal wrote, 'Mumtaz has got no father. ' I took her to court. My father who lived in Hyderabad promised to come to court to prove her wrong. He said, 'Hum ayega court mein. '

And did he?
No, the magazine and Devyani apologized publicly. I forgave them. If someone wrongs me and realizes it I am ready to forgive. But I will never tolerate nonsense.

So you were raised by your mother?
My grandmother, mother and my aunt. Like 'Three Men & A Baby' in my life there were three women and a baby. It was a wonderful childhood. We were a typical Irani family. My mother was divorced when she was only 16. Then my mother re-married. She had two sons. One of them died. But I've a stepbrother named Shah Rukh Askari in Mumbai.

Then there is the other Shah Rukh who is your fan.
You mean Shah Rukh Khan? Yes I heard. That's very sweet of him.

Who is not your fan?
Oh there must be many. I've been lucky. I started my career on the wrong note as a supporting actress. In spite of that I became one of the top-most heroines at the age of 18. That shows how much people loved me. I'd be appreciated even when I was not the heroine. My fans were with me. Then I married at 26 and left India.
Do you recall bad experiences on your way to stardom?
Nothing like that. There were no cheap passes made. It all depends on how one conducts oneself. I firmly believe if you're a hard- working and good-looking nobody except God can stop you. Our film industry does give a chance to new talent. But the newcomer has to be worth it, no?

Those who talk about being forced to compromise must be lacking in talent and looks. They want to become overnight stars. As for men taking advantage of strugglers, why blame only the entertainment industry? It happens in all work places. Sexual dynamics are tapped in every profession for a raise, for a promotion, whatever.

Please don't point fingers at the film industry. And look at the kind of monies that are given to actors. You really have to be worth it to command that kind of fees.

Which are your favourite roles and films?
Khilona, Tere Mere Sapne, Aaina, Aap Ki Kasam, Jheel Ke Us Paar...There were so many other hits. But I wouldn't call them memorable films or roles. Khilona was a turning point for me.

Producer L V Prasadji had the guts to sign a side actress like me in the author-backed part. It broke my glamorous tomboyish image. Do you know, Seeta Aur Geeta was offered to me? But they offered me a very small remuneration. So I said no.

Do you regret losing it?
No why should I? Because it was a hit? But I gave so many hits. Hemaji got her first Filmfare award for Seeta Aur Geeta. Mujhe pehle mil chuka tha for Khilona.

What about V Shantaram who cast you as a leading lady for the first time in Boond Jo Ban Gayi Moti?
I was doing Khilona and Boond Jo Ban Gayi Moti at the same time. I was signed for a guest appearance to do a song. I had done bit roles in Shantaramji's Stree and Sehra. I couldn't say no to him. So I agreed to do a song in Boond Jo Ban Gayi Moti.

Then his daughter Rajshree who was playing the lead in the film, decided she didn't want to work. So Shantaramji decided to cast me as the leading lady in Boond Jo Ban Gayi Moti. But the film's leading man Jeetendra refused to work with me.

What are you saying! Jeetendra and you became such good friends?
Ya, he said, 'Mumtaz ke saath main kaam nahin karunga'. Shantaramji put his foot down. He told Jeetu, 'If you don't want to work with her you leave the film. I'll take another hero. ' But Jeetuji finally relented. I held no grudges against Jeetuji because in those days many big heroes refused to work with me.

Even Dev Anand?
No he never refused. I got the chance to work with him in Tere Mere Sapne. If he said no to any film with me I am not aware.

Jeetendra and you did so many films subsequently?
Yes, but our jodi did not become as successful as Rajesh Khanna and I. My films with Jeetu didn't click.
It's the chemistry?
It all fate and destiny. It's up to the audience to take an actor to the skies or drop him or her to the ground. Either they love you or hate you.

You left the film industry so long ago...
40 years years ago I left. I did make a comeback in 1990 with Aandhiyaan. When that flopped my heart broke. I did get offers after that. But I decided against doing any more films. There's too much politics in the film industry. I saw no need to go through the rigours of the rat race. I live in London. Working in Mumbai would have been impractical. It meant too much stress. I didn't need it.

Any role recently that you felt you should have done?
I liked Hemaji's role in Baghbaan. But I don't like any other films that she has done lately.

But to see you play an aged woman of grownup children would be unacceptable?
That's one of the reasons why my comeback film Aandhiyaan failed. People wanted to know why I was playing mother to an 18-year old. I was a trendy mom in jeans. I dressed in the film how the heroine dressed in the original Pakistani film. Director David Dhawan wanted me to dress and behave exactly the way it was in the original. It didn't go down well with the audience.

Your favourite co-star Rajesh Khanna is gone?
When I was in Mumbai recently I visited Kaka (Khanna) in the hospital. What I don't understand is, why does one have to hide one's illness? When I was ill with cancer because of the chemotherapy my thyroid gland was gone. That meant anything I ate went straight to my weight. I bloated up. But since my fans knew about my condition no one made fun of me.

I was honest about my illness and I am honest about my age. Fans love you more for your honesty. They all know that no matter how big the star he or she will die one day. Nothing is permanent.

And experience has taught me there's no unconditional and pure love in this world except the one between a parent and child. I've homes in Mumbai, London, Uganda, Kenya and New York. You may find me in any of these places. Or you may not find me in any of these places. It's good to go with the unpredictability of life.

Your birthday message for your fans?
The love that I've received from people should be there for me until my last moment on earth. That would be so wonderful. Allah jaane kab meri ticket kat jayegi. Whatever time I've left on this earth I want the same love that I've been getting. And I want to be reborn as Mumtaz again.

Shatrughan saw Sonakshi's item number from his hospital bed

Shatrughan Sinha saw his daughter Sonakshi's item number from 'Oh My God' his hospital bed

Sonakshi Sinha's item number in Akshay Kumar's forthcoming production with Ashwini Yardi was shown to her father Shatrughan Sinha in hospital.

The star dad recently had a bypass at a hospital in Andheri. As he was unable to see the rushes, a special CD of the song was made and shown to Shatrughan on a laptop.

The Khiladi had roped in his lucky charms his Rowdy Rathore co-star as well as Prabhu Deva for the Govinda track in the film based on Paresh Rawal's play.

Shatrughan says, `Popular Govinda numbers like Shor Mach Gaya Shor Dekho Aaya Maakhan Chor and Teen Batti Waala Govinda Aala were filmed on me, so I enjoyed Sonakshi's Go Go Govinda from Akshay's film. I feel fortunate that Govinda songs are all in the family.` Hopefully after seeing the song, he even felt better.
Hopes for double whammy with Akshay

The Actress is hoping that "Joker", her second film with Akshay Kumar, replicates the success of their first movie "Rowdy Rathore".

"If this film gets a push because of our previous film ('Rowdy Rathore'), then it would be a good thing for us and our producers, who are the same, UTV. If a pair has worked then it will definitely benefit in future as well, " two-film-old Sonakshi said here in an interview.

So far she has had two releases - "Dabangg" and "Rowdy Rathore" - and both have entered the Rs.100 crore club.

When asked if she considers himself a lucky charm, the 25-year-old said: "As far as the lucky charm tag is concerned, you have given me that tag and tomorrow it will be someone else."

Her "Rowdy Rathore" and "Joker" co-star Akshay says there is no such thing as lucky or unlucky.

"When films work, then everyone becomes a lucky charm. If you (the reporter) also do a character role in our film and it works, then you will also become a lucky charm. Everyone is a lucky charm, " the 44-year-old said.

"It is an artificial thing, lucky or unlucky. Be it a boy or a girl, he is lucky. It's just in your mind, " he added.

Sonakshi is currently shooting for "Dabangg 2", "Lootera" and "Son of Sardar"

Everybody fights and reunites, why criticise us: Farah

Fights and reunions happen everywhere, then why people create a hype when a celebrity is involved, asks Farah Khan who has reunited with her favourite star Shah Rukh Khan.

Farah's husband Shirish Kunder and Shah Rukh had a brawl during the success party of Karan Johar's "Agneepath" and it became the talk of the town.

However, things have normalised between both the families and Farah, who gave two consecutive hits with SRK - "Main Hoon Na" and "Om Shanti Om" - is once again making a film with the superstar.

"Since we are in the film line, any little thing one does becomes a very big thing. That particular incident became such a big news. But fact is that we all fight with each other," Farah told .

"Forget about friends, we fight with our family members too. They get separated and then reunite. I think if one realises what went wrong and patches up, then nothing like it. I just don't understand why do people criticise when we reunite," she added.
Right now the choreographer-turned-director-turned actor is looking forward to the release of her "Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi", which marks her debut as an actress.

Talking about her foray into acting, Farah says she "was initially sckeptical" about the transition.

"There are many questions that came to my mind before taking up the role but thankfully I have a range of people who called me and said that I am going to take all the debut awards next year," she said.

Farah will be seen romancing Boman Irani in "Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi" when it releases Aug 24.

Mallika blames love for being single

Try standup comedy, Shekhar Suman exhorts women

When it comes to judging a comedy show, Shekhar Suman has been there and done that! But the actor rues that Indian women are still shying from stand-up comedy.

"I think women have some great comic talent but they would not consider doing that. I feel somewhere they consider themselves unfeminine to be on stage. They feel that it is essentially a male dominated field. More females and more ladies should come," Shekhar told.

In last few years, the actor-cum-host has judged laughter-based shows like "Comedy Circus", "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" and "The Great Indian Comedy Show". The 52-year-old is yet again seen in the judge's seat for Life OK's new rib-tickling show "Laugh India Laugh".

He admits stand-up comedian Bharti is an exception, but sometimes her comic sense gets repetitive.

Explaining his point of view, he said: "Bharti, the way she looks, she evokes laughter. You don't have to be in that stereotypical mould to make people laugh. After a point, it gets repetitive. How many times you will say that 'I am fat' and 'I am like an elephant'? How many times can you hear that? Eventually, everything gets boring."

A well-written script is the key behind the success of a comedy show, feels Shekhar and stresses upon the fact that "there has to be fresh content. Content is the king. The script should be content driven."

Making people laugh is a tougher job and requires innovative ideas.

"Comedy is very challenging. In singing, you like a song and you can here it over and over again. In humour, you want to hear something new, so you have to get fresher content as compared to what you have done before. Everybody can dance, everybody can sing but it is very, very difficult to make someone laugh," he said.

Asked what according to him makes an entertainer a complete package, he replied in tongue-in-cheek manner saying, "Jack of all trades and master of some."

A Kool return at box office: Ekta Kapoor's sex comedy is a hit

Ekta Kapoor's film proves its mettle at the box office; 'Ice Age 4' also manages to keep audiences interested

Ekta Kapoor has single-handedly proved that she can get outstanding numbers for even an average film like Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum (KSKHH) based only on its promotions.

Although the film got a thumbs down from the critics, the collections of the film are around Rs 23 crore in its first weekend. The numbers are huge considering that it is the month of Ramzan where the collections normally drop.

To add to it, the film is an 'A' certificate film which again keeps the kids and family audience away. The film also did not boast of any major stars and in spite of all this, the film has got such big numbers.

Trade analyst Amod Mehra feels otherwise and said, `It has done reasonably well but it has been sold at a high price and the distributors needs to do double the business to break even.

It was a similar case in Ferrari Ki Saawari so while Ekta Kapoor will laugh her way to the bank, the distributors will find it difficult to break even. There has been a huge fall on Monday and too much of double meaning will keep the ladies and family audience away.
Girish Wankhede, spokesperson of a multiplex chain said, The collections are good. From Day One it was very clear what to expect and that has worked in a big way. Another Hollywood release Ice Age 4: Continental Drift has also done very well in our chain. It was almost houseful on Sunday and we are very happy with its collections.

Trade analyst Atul Mohan said, `KSKHH is doing well. There are a couple of more holidays in this week plus there is no film in competition. which will help. Meanwhile Bol Bachchan crossed the Rs 100 crore mark last week and Cocktail running in its third week has managed to collect around Rs 73 crore after the weekend collections.

Kiran Rao will not make film like Dhobi Ghat again?

Filmmaker Kiran Rao, who made her directorial debut with off-beat film "Dhobi Ghat", feels there is need to create space for such films. However, she admits it's risky to make non-commercial films and that she would think before making a film like her debut vehicle.

"Today, if you ask me if I would want to make film like 'Dhobi Ghat', I would think again about it, " she said stressing on the point that the country needs right infrastructure to showcase off beat movies.

"There's need to have arthouse cinema (theatres) to show films that are not necessarily popular in content because I think venues like this will help understand that language of such kind of cinema, " said Rao, who was at the 12th Osian's-Cinefan Film Festival Monday for a panel discussion of her film 2010 film "Dhobi Ghat".

"I think the India is getting opening up to such films and slowly the audience is also increasing, " she added.

She was accompanied by the cast and crew of the film. Rao considers herself lucky that her offbeat film got a colossal release, but agrees that usually such films struggle to find a place in multiplexes.

"Multiplexes isn't the way it is made out to be. At the end of the day, they believe in profit sharing. If I as a filmmaker take a very radical subject, which might not get an audience in the first week, multiplexes wouldn't agree to let it play on their screens. They would throw me out in the very first week, " said Rao.

"They would not keep me until they get at least 40 percent of the audience. So the films that take risks isn't the right choice for multiplexes. But I am fortunate that I make a film the way I want it to be and I even got the release that I wanted it to be, " she added.

Short films purest form of filmmaking: Kashyap

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap praises short films to the skies saying they are the best form of filmmaking because they are not made with any particular motive in mind.

"For me, short films are the purest form of filmmaking because when you are making it, you are making it just because you want to. You are not making it for it to be sold, you are not thinking of an audience, you are not thinking of anyone, " the 39-year-old said here Sunday at the launch of the website.

"You are only making a film and hoping it will do something. You are not making it to please anyone, " he added.

The website will have filmmakers present a series of short films that will be officially premiered. Ad filmmaker and TV producer Omar Haider is the man behind Largeshortfilms.com.

Kashyap, who is riding high on the success of "Gangs of Wasseypur", believes that short films have a bigger impact.

"Short films for me are largely director-driven and they kind of converge to one point. Feature film can be driven by many factors - cinematography, music, talent, story-telling and actors, you get the opportunity of everything. But short films are somehow to the point... they make one, solitary, larger impact, " he said.

A source close to the film says, `Before Sunny was to join the cast and crew to shoot her portions, she sent an e-mail to Pooja demanding a medical certificate of Randeep and Arunoday with whom she was scheduled to shoot lovemaking sequences.

In all fairness she also sent her own medical certificate. Basically, she wanted to make sure that she was not going to shoot with anyone who had any life threatening disease (Read HIV).
The source explains, `Pooja Bhatt then told her that this was not the norm in Bollywood unlike for the adult films that Sunny does. The director also explained to her that she would not require to film sequences that she normally shoots for her adult films.`

Finally, apparently no such medical certificate was shown to Sunny. The source states, `No one is aware what exactly happened and how Pooja convinced her.`

We wonder what Randeep and Arunoday had to say about this surprising demand. Pooja Bhatt remained unavailable for comment.
