The actor, who is shooting with Sonakshi Sinha for the Prabhudheva's directorial venture, is pretty excited about the song.

Shahid visited Sholay shooting location

Actor Shahid Kapoor did not miss out on the chance to visit Ramgarh in Karnataka, where cult film "Sholay" was shot.

The 31-year-old was in Mysore to shoot his upcoming project "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" when he got to know that the famous shooting location is nearby.

The actor took time off after the shooting and visited the spot. He managed to wrap up the trip in eight hours time.

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" also stars Ileana D'Cruz.

Saif-Shahid connection, no it's not just Kareena

In Bollywood, they say there are no permanent friends or foes. And looks like so is the case between Saif Ali Khan and choreographer Ahmed Khan. After working on one of Saif's most popular tracks Ole Ole, the actor and the choreographer are all set to come together again after eight years, in Abbas-Mustan's next.

Salaam Namaste was the last film the two worked together in. Rumour has it that Ahmed's friendship with Shahid Kapoor had a profound impact on the choreographer's working relationship with Saif. 

A source says, It is a known fact that Ahmed and Shahid are best friends. Whereas, Ahmed used to teach dance to Saif when he entered the industry. However after Saif and Kareena started dating, they never worked together again.
Ahmed states, There were unspoken differences. But after Rameshji (Taurani) and Abbas-Mustanji told Saif that they wanted me for their film, he was happy. The first day when I landed in Turkey, Saif called me to his room and we hugged. Everything was fine again. Saif and I were part of the same team earlier and now all's well once more.

Interior decorator Shahid visits brother Ishaan at Shiamak Davar's institute

Shiamak Davar's students were in for a starry surprise when ex-student Shahid Kapoor paid a visit

The actor came to drop his younger brother Ishaan who is Shiamak's student which Sasha was years back. Shahid also grooved with them as the students are preparing for a show in which his brother is also performing.

Turns interior decorator

Shahid Kapoor has decided to use his interior decoration skills to do up his house rather than employing a professional for it.

The 31-year-old wanted to remodel his house, and he chose to bring home some interior design magazines and decide on the colour scheme himself.

Shahid, along with a team of workers, painted all walls white and chose to keep the floor and furniture black.

"Everything in his house has been designed by Shahid himself, " the actor's spokesperson said in a statement.

He also made sure the house gets good ventilation and ample amount of seating area by the window.

Shahid also made a den for himself where he has a comfortable bed and an interesting collection of films across all genres. He feels the best way to invest in his craft as an actor is by watching and learning from work across boundaries.

Shahid was last seen in 2011 release Mausam and will soon be seen in Rajkumar Santoshi's Phata Poster Nikla Hero, which also features actress Ileana D'cruz.

Shahid's career finished. Can Salman's way save him?

Shahid Kapoor lost Maneesh Sharma's next project after working on the script with the director for six months. It was a disappointing deadend. The final blow came suddenly. The remake of the Tom Cruise starrer Knight & Day which director Siddharth Anand had planned almost to culmination with Shahid Kapoor has now gone to Hrithik Roshan. 

And Shahid whose fan base remains miraculously uneroded despite the recent setbacks, has decided to do some drastic career-rethink. 

We hear from reliable sources that the young dedicated actor would now be following Salman Khan's pattern of career management and has in fact signed up with Salman's agency Bling to ensure his career is back on track. 
In the coming months, Shahid Kapoor won't be seen in public much. The actor whose recent films Mausam, Teri Meri Kahani have underperformed, has decided to take a long hard look at his career. And the results are already showing.

Not only is Shahid missing from public appearances he has lately signed up with Bling, the company that looks after the business interests of Salman Khan, to give that critical boost to his career. 

In addition, Shahid has also decided to adopt an entirely new approach to new projects. 

Says a source close to Shahid, `During the last one year Shahid has turned down 15 projects, among them Mira Nair's The Reluctant Fundamentalist and Prakash Jha's Chakravyuha. He insisted on a complete hard-bound script from every filmmaker, big or small.
This naturally didn't go down well with the likes of Jha and Nair who have worked with the biggest names in Bollywood and abroad, without having to commit a full hard-bound script to the actor. 

Only Aamir Khan used to demand a hard-bound script and he would even insist on signing every page of the script so that nothing was changed. That rigid system of working no longer works for any actor, not even Aamir.

The buzz surrounding Shahid's revamp is that the actor has decided to follow Salman's career-mould rather than Aamir's. 

We hear Shahid would be a lot more flexible and relaxed in his approach to films and roles. 

Raj Kumar Santoshi's new film Phata Poster Nikla Hero is the first film Shahid has signed without demanding a full script. He next goes into Prabhu Deva's Namak where he needs to completely re-define his physique and body language to do his his full-fledged action role.
Shahid would phase out his public appearances and will be seen very selectively until Santoshi's and Prabhu Deva's films are ready. Until then he has decided to stay as much out of the limelight as possible.

Shahid inks an endorsement deal for Rs 5 crore

After a series of back-to-back flops, Shahid Kapoor has something to smile about

Our sources say that the actor recently agreed to endorse a deodorant brand for Rs 5 crore.

A source says, Shahid will have ample time to shoot for his ad, since he has just one film in his kitty right now. Sasha is currently working on Rajkumar Santoshi's new film.

Busy Shahid takes day off for brother's birthday

Shahid Kapoor's fondness for his younger brother Ishaan is well known. The actor chose to take a busy day off just to be with him on his birthday.

Ishaan, 17, is Shahid's mother Neelima Azeem's son with husband Rajesh Khattar.

Shahid, who started the shooting of his new film "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" Saturday, had a string of engagements lined up. He had magazine shoots, a script reading session and preparation work for the shoot, but he took a complete day off as he really wanted to be with Ishaan. Confirming the same, a spokesperson of Shahid said: "Yes, Shahid is extremely close to his younger brother and took a day off."

Shahid might star along with Aamir, Anushka in P.K.

Rajkumar Hirani's films always create a curiosity amongst trade and media ever since it get's announced. And this time, His next production P.K. has been in the news for various number of reasons.

Shahid is NOT hiding from Kareena's wedding

There were rumors circulating Press and Media about Shahid Kapoor hiding out to avoid Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's most happening 'Saifeena' wedding. But the actor proved everyone wrong when he attended Pioneer India's car audio 2013 Launch at Hotel Taj Lands End.

Though the actor looked pretty exhausted and little unhappy while he spoke to media about his upcoming projects. Shahid Kapoor has signed a film with 'A Wednesday' fame director Neeraj Pandey where he is going to be seen for the first time ever in a Cop's role.

But before Shahid starts shooting as a cop for Neeraj Pandey's film, He will be working on Prabhu Deva's film Namak and Tips' next venture Phata Poster Nikla Hero co starring Ileana D'cruz and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. 

Neeraj Pandey is busy finishing his film 'Special Chabbis' with Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpai, Kajal Agarwal and Jimmy Shergill. The film is based on the True Incident of daylight robbery that took place in 80's at Tribhuvandas Bhimji Jhaveri (Mumbai).
Neeraj Pandey was also in plans to make a sequel on his cult classic 'A Wednesday'. There were no confirmations about Shahid Kapoor's film is 'A Wednesday' sequel. Sources claimed, Shahid would be working very hard to get into the skin of a Police Officer's character.

Actor is all set for an image overhaul in his next film, thanks to the choreographer-turned-director's touch

Thanks to Prabhu Deva, Shahid Kapoor is all set to get a perfectly new signature look for his upcoming film by Viki Rajani. The choreographer-turned-director is known to give 'special' looks to his actors.

A source informs, Prabhudeva is taking keen interest in working on Sasha's look. Apart from his physical appearance in the film, Prabhu is planning a unique dance step for him too.

Salman's collar dance step in Wanted and Akshay's signature dance in Chinta ta chita chita song from Rowdy Rathore were also Prabhu's creations. 
Our source adds, There is going to be a drastic change in Shahid's body language. Prabhu wants to explore Sasha's versatility through this. The actor too is open to experimenting. And the reason behind this image overhaul is Shahid's desire to target the masses.

Shahid dons khaki for Neeraj Pandey

After actors like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampal, now is the turn of Shahid Kapoor to play a tough cop.

The 31-year-old will be seen donning the khaki uniform for "A Wednesday" director Neeraj Pandey's next project. Earlier, he played an Indian Air Force officer in "Mausam".

Shanti Sivaram, who handles Shahid's work on behalf of Bling! Entertainment Solutions, confirmed the news. "Yes, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in (khaki) uniform for the first time."

Shahid, who has so far played a business tycoon, a teacher and a bookie, has already started preparations to get into the skin of his character.

Besides, the actor has also bagged Prabhudeva's "Namak", in which he teams up with Sonakshi Sinha, and director Rajkumar Santoshi's "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" opposite Ileana D'cruz.

Shahid Kapoor is that colourful

Shahid Kapoor dresses for comfort and the actor himself admits to it. And when it comes to colours, he sticks to the basics. 

CS caught up with the natty-dresser for a light-hearted chat where he spoke about his favourite colours and more:

Context matters
My favourite colours are blue and green. As a kid, I always liked blue. I am a Piscean, so maybe it has something to do with the fact that I am supposed to be a fish kind of a person (smiles). I really like blue as a colour. For me, colours also have a lot to do with where I am seeing it. 

What I would want to see on a wall, on a car, on somebody when they wear clothes; it's all different. I have a red sports car. The colour looks really cool on it, but I don't know if I will wear full red or even if I will want a red wall in my house. It depends on what the colour is being used for.
Dressing for comfort
I am honestly not good with judging myself and deciding what looks good on me. Most of the times, I am told what looks good on me and I just follow that. And it's nothing constant; always changing! 

Designers like to use different colours on actors and my designer is somebody who uses a lot of muted colours, especially on boys - deep greens, navys, blacks, beige or denims are always easy. And I am somebody who dresses for comfort, so you will never see me in loud colours.
Not too many colours please!
My house is predominantly white with black flooring, largely white furniture and one huge green wall, which I really like. I like colours in blocks, but I don't like a room, which is cluttered with a lot of colour. 

I would want two or three basic colours and just use that as a theme for the house because it just feels minimalist and nicer. I don't like too much colour thrown into a house. 

So, there will always be one or two major colours to break the basic of black and white and green in my house. For example, I have a red fridge, which is my favourite part of the house.
Filmi duniya
My favourite corner of the house is this area where I watch my films. My dog generally lies on top of my sofa with me and we both watch films. The kind of films I watch depends on my mood. 

Usually, I like to watch films that are entertaining. But sometimes I watch them to educate myself. But most of the times, I watch films that make me smile. I like a lot of dark films as well. I just saw the series of The Game Of Thrones - quite strong, expressive and violent, but very grungy and cool.

Shahid to go lean and mean for his topless acts

After a gap of four months, actor is back in the gym for his topless acts in 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero'

Shahid Kapoor is once again gearing up for a lean and mean look for Rajkumar Santoshi's upcoming film. The actor, who has to do many action scenes in the film, has been told to chisel his body for a few topless scenes. 

The actor has been off the gym route for a few months for another film commitment. A source tells us, `It has only been a week since Shahid joined the gym after a gap of almost four months. He had been asked to lose all the bulk for another film.

The actor was so out of form that on the first day, he couldn't lift the required sets of weight. 
The source says, There was a lot playing on his mind that day. Sasha was battling through some personal issues. He was also unhappy that the film for which he let go off his strong built didn't work out ultimately.

Apparently, his trainer Abbas Ali had to ask him to leave and come back later. The source adds that his trainer has ordered him to keep his shirtless image in mind and use that as an inspiration to build his body.

Will Shahid listen to her new girl Mubina ?

While trade sources suggest that Shahid Kapoor has walked out of Bejoy Nambiar's next, the director insists otherwise 

It looks like Shahid is still reeling from the Mausam effect. Post the debacle of Teri Meri Kahaani, Shahid was in the news for walking out of Maneesh Sharma's film due to date problems. Now sources from the trade say that Sasha has walked out of Bejoy Nambiar's next as well.

However, director Nambiar slams the buzz stating, `Of course, we are doing the film.` In the meanwhile, trade sources say that since the actor is known to take more than usual interest in his films, Bejoy was left rather displeased. And this led to the both parting ways. 
However, Shahid's closeness to the film's co-producer Mubina Rattonsey (also executive producer in Kaminey) could ensure that he remains a part of the project. A rival tabloid had reported on their relationship some months ago. 

Bejoy on the other hand is currently busy working on his next with Vikram, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Vinay Virmani. His film with Shahid has been slotted post that. Sasha is also said to be preparing for his projects with Rajkumar Santoshi and Prabhu Deva.
It's complicated!

It looks like there is a kismet connection between Sasha and his former flame Priyanka Chopra. Even after the both have split, buzz is that PC's brother Siddharth was recently spotted with Sasha's fitness trainer at an Andheri gym.

Shahid skips workouts to get out of shape

Actor Shahid Kapoor is giving his workouts a miss to get in 'shape' for a new film.

"Not worked out in three months cause I'm not supposed to look fit for my next... Missing the weights," Shahid tweeted.

Last seen in "Teri Meri Kahaani", Shahid did not reveal which film he is preparing for. But he said he will start shooting for it soon.

"Shoot starts in 10 days... will be back on set after a while. Every movie feels like starting all over again, and every time I feel like I have no clue what I'm gonna do with the character," he tweeted.

"I guess every actor is searching for that moment of truth somewhere between action and cut.

I guess to find any part, an actor has to look within and not outside if he wants it to be honest," he added.
